We came here for lunch with Uncorking Argentina, and are so happy we did! We sat with the view of the mountains for a delicious 5 course meal with wine pairings. The casual atmosphere, fresh food, and great wine was one of the most memorable meals on our trip to Argentina!

We went for lunch, which was wonderful & the wines were fantastic. We sat outside with the mountains in view & had friendly knowledgable service. Life could not have been better!!

I can only second the other reviews - this place is a true gem, and the was the highlight of our trip to Mendoza. The wines made here are simple but spectacular, the best we tastes in the area. The lunch simply phenomenal - the food was so exceptionally good we started laughing, thinking a famous chef was hiding in the kitchen. In short, if you got to spend a few days around Mendoza do not miss this place.

Where does one start!? Azul left us speechless, they are soooo attentive, warm & sincere that now being back in the U.S. we realize this was a one of a kind experience. Bitter sweet for us :/ :)

Surrounding area:
Rustic & earthy, soooo calming, much welcomed after 2 days of wine touring. If you can't unwind here, you're in trouble.

The wine throughout our meal paired nicely with all our dishes thanks to our server Pablo, he enhanced our experience to the 10th power.


Cuisine:
Their bread basket was fantastic (cooked in a wood fire oven) pretty addicting.
The rib eye (Ojo de Bife) was the highlight of our dining experience. Moist, juicy, flavorful, flawless cooked to perfection.
The pork was really tasty as well.
Beet purée was to die for, wished for more.
Sweet cream pie (pastel de choclo) wow, never had this before, great stuff.

Finally, for dessert we were served caramelized flan with strawberries...nice & light. Perfect way to end our visit @ Azul.

Ezequiel (owner) & his (father-in-law) chef Baeza are phenomenal people, it was great meeting you all.

At first glance we were thinking this might be average as its small without big signs or even paved entrance.
The initial greeting was very warm and sincere.
Once we arrived it just got better and better, we were blessed to meet the owner and winemaker. A humble man who we found out gave up his career as at Vet to take on the family tradition and run the winery, then started the restaurant. 3 generations now !
The wines were the best of the Uco valley in our opinion, the views stunning, backdrop of the snow capped mountains with vineyards in the foreground with puffy clouds and bright blue sky ( our day ) once seated and settled in one felt like you were in hidden heaven !
Super friendly and professional service !
Unique dishes accompanied by perfectly matching wines.
These people have heart and deserve your business !
We were touched by the magic of this place and how it got better as the meal went on, we even saw a gray fox !
One of the only places ever to serve Cabernet without any oak, it was the smart thing to do, flavours were so clear when some ARG cabs can be a bit heavy and covered by oak.
The Malbec reserve blend was outstanding, perfectly balanced, fruity with a nice lighter oak touch.
The Sauv blanc was a nice starter, very refreshing, clean, fragrant and appetizing.
Wish we had time to go back but was at the end of our stay in Mendoza, its about an hours drive in the famous Uco Valley where all the best Malbec's are made.
