We had a wonderful visit to Strangford and Seal cottage is a delight. We really enjoyed watching the seals on the rocks and playing pool upstairs. Everything was made very easy by owners.

“Fantastic views, love Northern Ireland and Strangford.”
Reviewed April 20, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We went as an extended family, Grandparents, children (12 and 9 years old) plenty of room for us all. The view from the house are just spectacular and constantly changing. A must for twitchers and those that love seals!
We love playing on the pool table, long walks along the beach, meals at the Cuan, and going into Belfast. Fantastic holiday for all.

“A very special place ”

We had a lovely week at Seal Cottage. It's the location that makes this place so special. Waking up in the morning to the rising sun blazing over the lough is simply magical. You can actually hear the seals -they make a very haunting sound. We made full use of the chimnea and the barbecue and even managed to catch a few mackerel near Audleys castle. We know the surrounding area very well - it is simply one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. As regards the cottage itself, we had great fun playing pool in the upstairs room in the evenings or just sitting around the kitchen table and relaxing in the evenings watching the tide ebb and flow at the bottom of the garden. Highly recommended.

“Spectacular views, comfortable, spacious accommodation and true friendly Irish welcome”
Reviewed July 27, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

First visit to Seal Cottage and what a perfect place to stay for a truly Irish holiday and to spend time with family. Couldn't be any closer to the beach for those early morning walks and to talk to the seals. Perfect costal location for spending time in Castle Ward,(worth a visit for Game of Thrones fans) Strangford and even Mountains of Mourne area. Had a wonderful shared seafood platter in Curran,s bar, best chowder ever tasted. Hope to return with friends.

“Fantastic views, quiet location and lots of space”
Reviewed July 7, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This was a really great holiday for out three generation family group of seven. The views from the house are stunning and constantly changing and you can see seals sunning themselves on the islands offshore. The garden is well kept, large and sweeps down to the shore line. The owner is friendly and helpful and the house is large and comfy with four good sized bedrooms and plenty of sitting areas though we tended to sit in the large kitchen where the views are best. There are two bathrooms with one shower but no bath which we found adequate. The house was well provisioned with helpful and useful items. It is a great location for exploring the Ards peninsula, Downpatrick and the Castle Ward estate.
