Rompin Beach Resort
Ranked #1 of 3 Hotels in Kuala Rompin
Reviewed February 17, 2014

I stayed one night for business trip at hotel deluxe room. Other options are deluxe chalet & family chalet. My room was big enough with pool view, clean & comfortable. The breakfast was ok with several local food & fruit. Good for nature lover since it located 1km out of town area & at beach of Rompin.
The only problem is, the beach is muddy & murky but out of control the resort.

Room Tip: Try the chalet unit

We stayed 1 night at the resort and had a comfortable room in the main block. There were some difficulties when booking in however. We had booked a chalet twin bed room and were first allocated a double. When transferred to a twin we found that there was no running water in the bathroom. Both rooms were shabby and in need of renovation. Thirdly we were transferred to a 1st floor room in the main building. This was in good decorative order. The bed was comfortable ad the water was working too. If we hadn't had the bad experience of the first two rooms we would have given the resort a higher rating.
One rather bizarre experience was the sound of a Sergeant Major (or similar) drilling troops just outside our room at daybreak! The resort is used for 'corporate bonding' events.

Room Tip: Don't choose a chalet (unless it has been renovated)!

Just can stay for a night only. The deluxe room is clean and nice. However the air condition quite noisy when start on. The sound annoying my ear. The pool looks clean when i see at my balcony, but when i go down to swim its looks so sad. The pool was not properly maintain and the water quite smelly. It's took around 100meter walk to reach the beach from my room. Unfortunately the beach quite not well maintain, they a lots of rubbish a long side the beach make me feel don't want to swim.

For the price of RM188 per room per night i think it was worth it. Bed was comfortable, aircond running smoothly, standard toileteries supply includes, coffee and tea making in room. However i do agree with other reviewer, the pool water was murky. I do saw the staff cleaning the pool early morning but not sure if its enough. Maybe since the resort was just next to a beach, people tend to swim in the sea and then directly jump into the pool thus taking all the sand into the pool. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy just the standard buffet breakfast. Jam and toast, nasi lemak, porridge, fried mee, fruits, sausage etc. This is the place to go if you just want to sit back and relax, since not much activity can be done here. You can swimm in the pool, swim in the sea or walk by the beach. No seasport activity either.

Rompin Beach resort is one of the better places to stay if you are in Rompin., The staff is good and polite. The food is also good. Good for those travelling with their families. However the downside is the murky water in the pool. Could be better. However the morning walks on the beach were marvelous.

Room Tip: Get a chalets which is nearer to the sea..

The only attraction is the swimming pool.

10 hopeless @ Rompin Beach Resort:

1) Sauna is not in operation
2) Only 3 half-damanged equipment & tabletennis table in the gym
3) Breakfast is so lousy that my maid could cook better than the chef
4) Free Wifi is only available at the lobby area, so you'll for sure suffer from insects' bite at night when surfing
5) No bathtub
6) No cable TV channels
7) Poor security
8) No convenient store
9) Music in the karaoke has not been updated for decades
10) No newspaper

After commenting everything I've decided to change overall rating from "poor" to "terrible".

I stayed in this Motel many times. Its not a resort, more of a motel. Not recommned for family and kids that intent for a holiday trip. Its meant for business trip or government servant that have meeting or business in Kuala Rompin. Its more of B&B !!!
For Family resort, you should go to Lanjut Golf and Beach Resport, 10KM away from Kuala Rompin town or Sommerset Resort, 30KM away.
