“Faulty towers!!!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

Dear god thank god we got out alive!!!

What a place!! Luckily we booked this cheap so I will try to be kind but this is hard!!
The good bits,
The pool at the top was nice the bottom pool was fun for the kids.

The food was quite nice something for everyone

Entertainment was good too not much for English or for children but it was ok.

The room for 2 adults 2 kids was a row of beds in one room with a dirty bathroom

The reception was like a living room from the 80's!!

We had a flood in our room we woke up in about 6 inches of water all our clothes which was in suitcases was soaked maiming the kids stuff and our bags with cameras, iPad, and my iPhone were ruined. They moved us room to a room with two bedroom which was such relief after sleeping four in a bed!! They took the clothes to wash but unfortunately stole most of it never to be returned, the staff were terrible about it. It's out in the middle of nowhere it's not near bodrum at all.

Me + my partner (im 30 and he is 32) stayed here for a week 5th - 12th October 2012 and paid just over £500 for the week (all inclusive).
The temp was between 26 and 30 the whole week and we only had 1 evening of rain/storms. but take a thin coat/cardigan for the evenings as it can get a bit nippy.

If your looking for a holiday where you literally do nothing apart from eat, drink, sunbathe, sleep + relax than this is the hotel for you. We needed a chill out holiday and this is what we got. we only left the main hotel complex to walk down to the beach.
Our room looked down on to the back of reception which meant we had the sunshine on our balcony the whole day. The beds and room was comfortable and our shower was like a power shower.
We were spoilt for choice with food selections (however we are not fussy eaters) and enjoyed the alcohol.
The staff were friendly and the Receptionist couldnt have been more accomidating when we wanted to keep our room on as we had a late flight coming home.

We didnt venture out and about of this hotel as we stayed in Bodrum earlier in the year and did all of the sight seeing etc then.

The only thing that ruined our holiday was listening to and hearing British tourist's moaning about everything under the sun about this hotel. If you want the Ritz pay Ritz prices and dont pay peanuts to expect the Ritz.
The other thing was the brawling and arguing in between familys going on till the early hours and the hotel having to call the police out on a few occasions. disgusting. I actually thought I was in a club18-30 hotel but no this was grown adults in their 40's and 50's glassing and bottling each other at 3am.

To sum this hotel up if you want a chill out like we did - this hotel is ideal. the only thing that let it down was the other chavvy British guests that ruined it for us.

We stayed in this hotel for a week in September. It is an all inc hotel and the food was fine. Turkish night was very good and the range of desserts was impressive.
There is a loud pool and quiet pool where we spent most of the time. The beach is downhill from the hotelwhich consists of a jetty and some sunbeds in a garden. There are shuttle buses to take you up and down but it was a bit of a nightmare at lunchtime as the bus gets packed and has to do a few trips for those wanting lunch at the hotel.
The room we stayed in was very dissappointing. Not much room. We had a power cut the one night as we were getting ready to go out. My husband also has to complain as our room was not serviced for two consecutive days.
The highlihgt is the farm though located at the back of the hotel. You will be amazed!
Also be aware that the beach twoels are not always available. You had to be up early to get one and they are quite small so I would take my own if I went back.
It's definately not a four star hotel. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but the buses are regular for Turgetries and Bodrum. For a week it was OK.

Will keep this short as I know they get boring..... Stayed here 22nd to 29th October 2012.
1. Hotel in need of refurb v shabby this place was probably new when CRYSTAL Carrington was flashing her legs in Dynasty. Beds old (so uncomfortable) decor old, food old. Shower door fell off.
2. The zoo is in fact poultry all cramped in pens made of chicken wire and THEY SQUAWK ALL NIGHT!! cockerels, geese just nuts...
3. The beach had no sand, now I knew this from previous reviews... But they didn't tell me about the dead sea birds just left legs up in the air by the steps to the jetty.
4. I have stayed in this area before and never experienced such rank food. It is gross, they put it in a serving area and make everyone wait like school dinners until 7pm. It's cold!!
5. Entertainment was cack, rubbish and awful. Went to bed early a few times just to break the boredom. Disco was a cave with lights we went too once.
6. Location is more remote than I had imagined. Yes im aware thats my fault for not looking on google maps etc. Thank the lord for Dolmus
8. Swam in the sea, which was enjoyable. Then the steps back onto the jetty at crystal beach are very rusty and I cut my thigh on these getting back on. I'm a big boy didn't cry.

Missed out 7 coz that's a lucky number and if you end up here then your luck has run out

When I booked this hotel I read a sufficient amount of reviews which seemed quite favourable. Is this a seasonal issue with food etc?

Things we enjoyed:-

1.each other but I'm not available.
2. Hong Kong Billy's hospitality at a restaurant in Bodrum
3. Castle was ok, no great shakes really
4. Turkish bath in Hamami by the bus station was the high light.
5. Efes beer is good
6. Coming home away from crystal hotel.

In fact come to think of it. This place has ruined the name crystal in my mind. Crystal Carrington doesn't seem as fit.
Crystal maze doesn't seem as much fun.
Crystal Palace are rubbish.
Crystal hotel thanks for nothing mate!!!

I am late thirties and have seen this area before do yourself a favour and book elsewhere. We had a Laff but only when we left site. It quite literally STINKS.
Or you could ignore me coz the price looks right and cross Ye fingers. OOP's that would be an error:) but have fun anyway.

My husband and i with our two children spent two weeks at the crystal hotel, arrived back 26th October. On the whole we had a good time and met some great people. The hotel is situated in a lovely area, great views. It is rather out of the way but there is no problem to catch local buses.we found facilities to be clean and the staff helpful and polite. There are two swimming pools which seem well maintained and clean. The entertainment team, although cheesy tried their best, if you did not like the loud music around the main pool, there was always the smaller, top pool to escape to. The food was fresh and plentiful, some of which could be described as "an acquired taste", but hey you are in turkey! I think it was fair to say that we didn't starve. I would say that the one thing that let this hotel down was the noise at night from young and middle aged beer monsters, shouting, screaming and fighting. there were even people trying to hammer down each others room doors! The addition of security would have been good! Our room faced main reception so together with this we had to put up with people departing/ arriving all night long, suitcases being wheeled over the pavements.I don't think any of us had a proper night's sleep for two weeks. At the end of the day this was not the hotel staff''s fault, but the abundance of free booze! Next year self catering?!Just a warning, we had a great meal at the restaurant by the beach, i was given wine although i had asked for water, we were charged 30 lira ( approx £12) The next day they tried it on again when my husband went to order some take away pizzas.
