“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2011

Booked this as a late deal, read reviews and thought 'What have we let ourselves in for.

'Cannot believe some of the reviews.

Its one of those out of the way hotels where you can just chill. Ideal for a week.

We travel abroad three (3) times a year and have been to Turkey about 7 times.
Have done All Inclusive in many countries and this is by far one of the best for choice of food.

Arrived there and received a welcome drink, told about the hotel and services (this is very rarely done) and shown to our room.

Asked if it was ok or if we would prefer a different room. Why when we had a sea view?

Food different every day.

Hotel staff friendly and helpful.

Animation team on hand all day and evening. Wanted every one young and old to join in, if you didn't want to then you didn't have to.

Reception staff helpful.

Had a lovely turkish bath and massage. Bit pricey £30 per person for 1 1/2 hours but then prices have gone up in Turkey.

One critisisim - I could not get apple tea served there so bought my own.

Crystal beach was the best holiday of my life. Ever.

Along with 2 other girls aged 20-22 we enjoyed sun, sea and sand. We had lovely dinners such as chicken and salad and the burgers in the afternoon were a delight. Fresh food was prepared daily, ignore all the comments about it smelling funny the food was beautiful.

Our room overlooked the reception of the hotel and had a great view of the pool and the town below. Very clean, bedding changed etc. We had a slight problem with the air conditioning but it was reported and fixed in the same day.

The waiter were a bit flirtatious however we did not find this a problem.

The pool is incredible, really great for sunbathing and chilling out. It has a separate area for children and lots of space to swim for adults.

There is a free train service that takes you to the beach where if you are all inclusive you can enjoy drinks on the sand. There is also a grass area with sun loungers and large pillows to relax on.

There is plenty to do, just ask the rep. You can go on nights out, a night club in the middle of the ocean. You can visit the local market, visit other towns.

I would strongly reccomend this hotel to girls up for a laugh groups of friends.

Never a dull moment.

we arrived at this hotel at early hours of the morning and went as a group of girls there was 5 of us. went we went to check in at the reseption the staff were quite unfriendly not very welcoming the bell boy carried our bags for us which was a good help as we had to go up alot of stairs. we had 2 rooms the room for 3 of us was clean and had a nice veiw however the over room had a veiw of a dirty field and an over grown bush that was hanging over their balcony. as we arrived so early we didnt have any sleep and headed for the dinning room for breakfast the food was ok but alot of my friends are fussy eater and were complaining about the flys around the food and the bread and butter was about all we ate as we were out there as there wasnt much option and it all smelt a bit funny. there are two pools a small and a bigger one were really old music is played its nice though but be careful the blue mats around the pool just collect water so there not non slip. you need to be there early to get a sunbed but if your not you are bound to find a big cusion to lay on around the side of the pool. this hotel is however in the middel of no were and it costs 70lire to go to gumbet which is a good night out or there is a small town closer by. the staff are unhelpful and hardly speak any english also be careful when you have a shower the water fills up at the bottom you are basicly having a bath felt like it would overflow. the rooms were nice and clean and it was a lovely hotel but i would advise you to buy alcohol at the airport its all watered down so you can drink and drink it wont effect you.

Do Not stay at this hotel its a health hazard. The rooms are mouldy and damp, the beach towels were dirty and had blood stains on them, its miles away fro anywhere, and the so called beach is only about 200m long no sand! The staff pass the blame all the time. I am still waiting for a refund from this hotel after spending one horrific night there. Please take my advise.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a cheap holiday where we could get some sun and relax and not have to spend alot of money when we were there. We looked on the internet and found this hotel. For two people, two weeks, all inclusive (inc flight) it was £800. We thought this was a really good deal espacially as we had paid approx £350 each for a flight only to Cyprus the previous year.
We arrived at the hotel a little apprehensive as we had read a lot of reviews on here and weren't too sure how it was going to go. We were showed to our room and it had two single beds. This wasn't what we expected but they changed our room the next day. The room was O.K, It was small, with a T.V and a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet that were all clean. The room did smell a little damp but we got over it as we didn't spend that much time in our room.
We thought the food was great. Plentlyful and hot with a massive array of salads, pasta and rice. The dessets were amazing. It's pretty much all you can eat. The staff in the restaurant work non-stop and clear your plates as soon as you are done. There is no pressure to move on from the table.
There are three pools; the main pool, the 'childrens pool' and a pool slightly away from the complex which is lovely and quiete. We spent most of our days there.
At the start of our holdiay, the rep states that this may be advertised as a 4* by the holiday agents however would be a 2* maybe 3* in the U.K. It is important to remember this when you are there. This maybe a 2* hotel but the staff worked like a 5* hotel. We really loved it there and got what we orginally wanted. If I had paid over £1000 for both us to go there then maybe I would have been putting a different review but we didn't, so go have a relaxing time and get a turkish massage if you can. Very nice indeed.

This has to be one of the worst hotels i've ever stayed in. The room was FILTHY, particularly the shower, we had to spend an hour cleaning it befor we unpacked. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you need to catch a bus in order to do anything. The entertainment consists of turkish dance.music played until midnight followed by a disco. No use if u want to sleep. The disco is in a room under one of the pools which leaks into the disco. When it rains the power goes off and the roof leaks into the indoor dining room. The staff try their best but this hotel needs some serious repairs and updating. After a week we were transfered to the golden age hotel, which is soooo much better (see my review)

this was the 1st time in turkey and from this experience we wont be going back.UPVC windows and patio doors let in the wind and rain .The shower tray did not drain properly and nearly flooded the bathroom .The room smelt damp and the floor was so dirty you had to wear shoes always. The food was edible but not much verity manly chicken in 1 form or another. We booked a brkfast box as we were on an early trip to be given half a loaf of bread with plastic cheese and some processed meat ( other hotels offerd friut, bread, spreads, croissants) so we were like the poor relations . AS it was an early start (5am) we asked if we could have or purchased a coffee to be told by the sleeping receptionest NO , how helpfull .Think long and hard before you book and check out other places 1st.We dont blame On The Beach as other guest were from Tomson Travel
