Great place that has opened this season on a clean private beach/ bay area on the main road between Gumusluk and Yalikavak

The place has everything - pool, horse riding, restaurant and bar as well as the beach access with great beach huts for those wanting some shade

Well thought out although service needs a little attention

The "deposit" mentioned by a previous reviewer is actually 75tl not 75 pounds - a huge difference and I fully appreciate their reasoning for charging it

I will visit gai next month and hope to enjoy another day relaxing here

Victoria's is a beach club on the Cukurbuk bay between Gumusluk and Yalikavak; 2TL on the Dolumus from Gumusluk. The beach club has a bar (great cocktails), restaurant (excellent fish, lamb kebabs and pizzas), adults swimming pool, children's pool, horse riding, wonderful views of the sunset, beach with loungers (black sand and pebbles), grassed area with loungers (you just need to buy a drink and you can stay all day), and the fantastic wooden cushioned "beach huts".

Grab yourself a beach hut (minimum spend 75TL - not pounds as someone else has said, and we were warned of the limit - which is basically lunch and drinks for a family), and stay all day. We had two such full days during our two week holiday, the children loved the chance to jump in the waves of the sea and then go and play in the pool. We read and chilled out in the beach hut, being about to see both the sea and the pool from our vantage point.

Everyone is friendly, relaxed and can't do more to help (although a few of the male staff seemed more interested in chatting to the ladies than serving us!). The food service is on Turkish time, but not excessively so and worth the wait. Most of the clientèle are Turkish, but we weren't in any way left out or hassled.

If you are looking for the brochure white sand and turquoise water, this isn't the beach for you (black sand and pebbled, but once you are knee deep it is sand all the way). But if you want a quiet beach where you can stay all day, have good food and drink available without any hassle and you enjoy people watching - this is the beach for you. Enjoy!

Victorias (the name does not do the place justice) is situated on the beach just outside Gumusluk heading towards Yalikavak. It is a delightfully laid back Beach Club but not flash, no loud music, and best of all not too many Brits!! There is a great little bar with the best Pina Coladas I have ever drunk (and I have had a few!!), a wonderful grassed area with beanbags scattered under umbrellas, a swimming pool (but usually just used by Brits) and best of all a great beach - with umbrellas, sun loungers and and cabanas that you can rent for 75 lire which is taken off your bill at the end of the day. The staff are great, really friendly but not over bearing, constantly around if you want your cocktail on the beach. There is also a great restaurant on the beach with great views and such wonderful food and so reasonable. The best Turkish breakfast I have had. The beach is not sandy so beach shoes are an advantage, the water is so clear and doesnt get deep too quickly so really safe for children too.

If you're in this area of Gumusluk on this peninsula it's a good spot to try.
Nice bar and restaurant area with nice views. Service is crap.
The beach is ok- a little dingy with floating stuff. It is also rocky like most beaches in the area.

Be warned though that while the wooden beach things to lay on are free- plywood is not very comfy. And the big cushioned platform is £75. your food and beverage purchases are totaled against the £75 so be sure to eat and drink up your total price. We did not understand this was a minimum purchase expectation (not clear- and my Turkish is not very good) . So in addition to our pitza and beer we were also charged a £40 sitting fee. Who knew!
The bar made a good margaritas but they were expensive. £20 that's NYC prices!

They are new and obviously going through some growing pains. Hopefully the will work out their kinks.
.
So go and enjoy and enjoy a beer and a swim but be warned that nothing is for free and there are hidden charges everywhere.

Give this place a go, its a great experience, day or night.
The positioning is great with the restaurant above the sea shore, and directly in view of the most fantastic sunset you will see on the peninsula.
Considering the place has only been open just over a month they are doing brilliantly. yes there are teething problems but all the staff are trying really hard - they all seem to really care.
Food is great - cocktails are amazing but expensive, as are all spirits in Turkey.
We went 4 times in our 10 days. Our names were remembered by the 2nd time we visited and a warm welcome received. We are back in the area in September and its the first place we will be taking our visiting family and friends.
