“If you wanna feel real Bodrum atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2012

If you wanna have diner on the beach with fresh and real mediterrenian food with great atmosphere, you really have to visit this lady's house in gumusluk. You absoulety need to try "imambayildi" which is a turkish speciality. Everything is homemade and natural. Dont expect luxury but enjoy the atmosphere and great meals.

“Outstanding tasty food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2012

We are regular visitors to Gumusluk and other places in Turkey.
This is by far the best restaurant we have found.
The location, beachside, is excellent; the owner/chef friendly, but above all, the food is outstanding.
Service is occasionally slow ( it's very popular ) but enjoy the view.
Try as many starters as you can. They may become a full meal !
Over 8 + years I have never had a bad or overpriced experience here.
Afterwards, other "turkish" restaurants will seem plastic.

“Good restaurant but overrated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012 via mobile

Lovely quaint and rustic location but we found the food good, but not fantastic, and quite expensive. The owner was very friendly and helpful, we could see she was passionate about her cooking. Will definitely visit again but with a different expectation of simpler food and bigger wallet.

“Fascinating, memorable experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2011

This is a place which just has to be experienced.

It's important you have the right expectations. Be prepared to spend most of your evening there as everything is quite leisurely and unhurried, as it should be when you are sitting outside by the water's edge, experiencing the magic of Gumusluk.

If you are looking for 5 star corporate slickness then this is not the place for you. But if you appreciate tradition and quirkiness and great food then there are few better places. The menu is worth spending some time examing - not because of the amount of choice, as there is very little, but the way it's put together in a slightly haphazard and child like manner, but with a certain style which is difficult to get right.

We had a brilliant, memorable time and will be back for sure on our next visit to this wonderful area.
