“24 hour stop over”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

We chose this hotel as it was close to Malpensa Airport and wished to visit the city of Milan during our stop over.
Their is a hotel shuttle bus which you can book directly with the hotel or you can use the airport shuttle bus which drops you off on the main road but then you have a 10 minute walk. The hotel is not very well signposted so the hotel bus is a must.
On arrival at the hotel we were dealt with quickly and courteously by the reception staff. Our room was clean and well appointed for a budget hotel with very comfortable beds. The room also had a safe and mini bar.
Breakfast was extensive with a good choice hot food and continental style food.
Overall I was impressed with this hotel and would recommend it to friends

The hotel has a shuttle operating between 5am and 10am and 6pm-11pm if I am not mistaken. Even during these times you must call the hotel first, which is a challenge on its own since it is hard to find the telephone number among different websites. We arrived at the airport at 12 pm and were hoping for the shuttle to come by. After calling the hotel and being informed by the rude receptionist that the shuttle would not run until 6pm, she informed us we could take a taxi (20-25 euros for less than 3 km distance). I inquired about a bus service ans she replied with a cold no. I read on tripadvisor that someone had taken the bus operating between terminal 1 and terminal 2 and asked her again. She then gave me some vague information and hung up the phone. At terminal one you go underground at the service area 5, past the Sheraton hotel entrance. There you will take the free bus to Terminal 2 which has several stops in between. Be sure to request your stop as the bus driver will not stop otherwise. You need the second stop which is for Case Nove (I guess the village in which the hotel property is located). From the bus station stop, you will turn left toward the airport and Holiday Inn hotel. Be careful as the road is not meant for pedestrians. Follow the signs for restaurant Salamanca and the hotel is close to the restaurant (across from it sort of). We were given a room with two queen size beds regardless of requesting a king size bed, We were told they were sold out although there were maybe 6 other occupants in the hotel (Monday night). Thermostat was always on - too hot and we could not turn it off. We kept the window open. The walls were dirty. The property needs immediate attention. The breakfast was good and the shuttle service in the morning was ok. The property was too expensive for what it offered. No free wi fi either. I could have stayed 100 meters down the street for $50 less.

Room Tip: Good luck. The property is 2 star at best.

My wife and I were nervous about staying in downtown Milan and having to take the shuttle for a mid-morning flight. So, we booked here for the first time. What a great choice we made! The check-in was simple and efficient and the room was even better than described. Large room with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. Everything clean as a whistle. In the morning enjoyed a BIG breakfast, included, then got on the shuttle for the 10 minute ride on back roads to the airport. No muss, no fuss, no nerves. We will definitely do this again.

Room Tip: If you book early, the price is great. We booked a day before and it cost 80 euros...still a super...

Stayed on a recent business trip. Ideal location for airport, with regular shuttle service. Not a bad little restaurant, food OK but basic. Small bar area attached. Negatives, no free WiFi, and shower was a pain to control.

There was a bad start with the hotel not giving clear instructions about the pick up point for the shuttle bus, even though I had the prev hotel call them up. After many stressful moments and running with the bags in tow and asking around several people, we were able to find the right spot-exit 16 departure, Terminal 1 (pl remember, if any doubt), The hotel is like any other airport hotel-not many facilities but is surprisingly comfortable with two queen size beds, spacious rooms and simple but contemporary look. Limited choice of food since there is nothing around it where one can eat (Pizzas are frozen though-and the Menu mentions it clearly). If you are a light sleeper, be warned of the regular chimes from the House of God nearby. American Breakfast is bare minimum-but suffices. Plenty of parking too. Service could improve-but the staff seems to be overworked. Big surprise was the three modern computers with comp wi-fi even though the online site does not mention it. Shuttle service to the airport every half hour in the mornings is very punctual and you are at the airport in 5 minutes, Rates are extremely reasonable, making it a decent Transit Hotel that could be excellent with slight improvements in the service and doing something with the bare looks

Room Tip: Don't expect a great view from the room-though expansive. But remember -the pick up point is Dep...

Let start with something positive:

1. The check-in went smooth even if the parking lot was full and we had to park on the street.
2. The food in the restaurant was fine and the service was good.
3. The beds were comfortable and soft. No bedbugs (I check thoroughly)

But there were a few hiccups also:

The hotel was renovated recently, but because of poor maintenance it has already started to crack in the corners. The maintenance guy must be the laciest person in Italy.

The were so many scratches from luggage on the walls that we eventually turned of the lights(The once that were still working), who wants to seen that. 2 bedroom light fixtures - 2 broken. 1 workplace light fixture - 1 broken. 1 lamp cover missing (see picture). The fire escape sign started to peel of the door.(must be a shortage of glue or similar in Italy). In the bathroom some contractor they hired for the renovation forgot to secure the sink to the wall with proper screws. It started to come off the wall with a nice gap in between the wall and the sink.

Now you might think this was just one room! They just had some bad luck.

But the same things were found all over the hallway and in the restaurant. Paint missing and poorly applied. Thing that were loose and starting to break apart.

Do I recommend another hotel, yes and no.
My hopes are that the management reads this and fires the maintenance guy. He is useless and drags their hotel down in a black hole!
