What food, what presentation, what style! This is a top-level restaurant. What are Michelin stars for, but to give them for places like this? I know it’s recommended, but it should have a star at least. Try the Colours of the Sea starter (1 between 2’s fine) and Fish of the Day or Fried Fish or any dish for that matter; it’s all good - and quality wine at €4 per glass if you’re driving.

Fantastic raw seafood. Amazing pasta dish with a recipe from
1965, nice decor (except plastic chairs) and lovely service.

We had one mixed platter followed by the pasta and a chocolate dessert with just one glass of prosecco but they charged 84 Euro’s and we didn’t realise until after leaving the restaurant

A shame to leave with a bad taste in our mouth when the food had been so delicious!!

A more formal setting serving very well done interpretations of the local specialties. Popular with the locals.

We have been taken by friends to the oldest successful restaurant of the really delightful San Vito Chietino. At our arrival there were almost no patrons and we have been offered one of two round tables of the panoramic wing.
Among our dishes there were fresh oysters, hot seafood tegame, potato dumplings in white sauce with cod fish, brodetto of seafood, frittura di paranza, panna cotta and ice cream. Our friend choice of wine went on a pecorino of the regional cellar Cataldi Madonna.
A tasteful amuse bouche arrived complementary, the seafood entrees were very satisfactory while for the gnocchi there were different opinions; the mains were definitely up to standard, so were the sweets although missing a touch of originality.
The service was fine though not exceptional having waited a while to have the main dishes cleared. I'm making this note because i was still eating a few mouthfuls of my entree and the other dishes had been already all cleared. My main (the brodetto) at the beginning appeared to be very similar to the entree (tegame) as on top were visible mussels, prawns and clams, then underneath i've found baby crabs, scampi, red mullet and gallinella. I have eaten all the possible but with advice about the ingredients of the dishes perhaps i would have picked a swordfish carpaccio instead. Obviously for us it was the first visit there. By the way when we left there wasn't even an high chair free.

This is a magic place to eat. The service is sensational, the decor is special with authentic stone ceilings and beautiful vistas to the trabocchi and sea. The food is sensational! Try the special soup which is a family recipe for over 100 years . The meal was incredible and the price was excellent. We got talking with the owner and found out that a very famous Michelin starred chef from Australia had also just recently eaten there - great people find great places ! I will definitely be back
