Excellent hide-away if you want space, peace and quiet. The water is like velvet and the food and the hospitality is very good. I have already been twice and I shall probably go again. The rooms are nice and comfortable.

Thankyou to all the beautiful Hahathakis family, mothers, aunties, uncles, nonnas, sons and daughters and the enchanting surrounds of the Aphrodite Hotel in Vatera on the island of Lesvos. My wife and I will always reminisce over the days we spent enjoying the authentic food e and hospitality of your hotel. Loved our Greek ,blue and white room. We travelled throughout the Greek Isles but never felt more Greek than at The Aphrodite and the surronding villages of Lesvos. Special thanks to you Yanni , you go beyond what is expected and your example has passed on to your extended family . My wife enjoyed the dolmades making and the Greek Easter experience at Vrisa . I miss my swimming in the Aegean and the beach side service ..cant write anymore I'm missing it too much.....

With out a doubt the highlight of our trip. From the outset we requested a destination so my Aussie friends and I would experience a truly Greek Easter surrounded by truly Greek tradition and a taste of good old Granmas cooking. We got all that and more, the Aphrodite hotel is run by a marvellous family "Hahathakis" they all put in mothers daughters sons uncles and aunties, and the guests felt part of their extended family. Easter was a highlight in Vrisa as was the complete island of Lesvos. Thank you again the Hahathakis family, and hope to see you soon.

We had such a good time at this wonderful family’s hotel.
The enthusiasm and friendliness of all 3 generations rubbed off on us and the many other guests, and we really hated to leave.
The Aphrodite Beach Hotel's food was generous and delicious, everybody was happy to share Orthodox Easter traditions with us, and the location was perfect – as was the weather and the hospitality. We almost felt part of the Hahathakis family soon after arriving, learned to make dolmades, were invited to accompany them to evening church-related activities, danced a bit after Easter dinner - all unforgettable travel experiences..
We (husband and wife celebrating our 40th anniversary) made an excellent choice in staying here for some rest and relaxation after a complicated trip in western Turkey - ópa!!!

Room Tip: We liked having a room north of the main section of the hotel, because we were able to have a nice terrace with a small farm on two sides. The remainder of the time we used the various sitting areas inside and outside the main building - and of course enjoyed being near the beach, where dolphins cruised by on our last day.

It was our first stay in Lesvos, so I'd put a lot of effort into choosing a hotel. It's no exaggeration to say that Aphrodite Beach Hotel exceeded all our expectations - so peaceful, homely, clean and comfortable it was. And the food in the hotel restaurant and taverna is definitely the best on the island!
Although we were staying in the middle of the peak season, the beach was never overcrowded, and there were plenty of sunbeds and sunshades available. All in all, this family-run hotel is now among our favourites. Hopefully, we'll be back some day :)
