Visited this pub on a Saturday afternoon. Nice log fire as you enter and restaurant was warm and welcoming. Services as good and the staff very friendly and smart.
The food was second to none with a wide selection to suit all. Nice that the children could have smaller portions of real food and not just chicken nuggets, etc. Great home made pudding.
Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.

After finding our local pub, the half way house, without power my husband and I decided to try this pub for food. Safe to say we were not impressed with the food. Bland tasteless meat( why? We are in the West Country) un crispy rosaries and Paxo stuffing.the only saving grace is that the veg appears to be fresh and the gravy home made. Oh and the views are lovely . Safe to say we will not be back .

We went to the lime kiln twice during our recent stay in low ham. The food both times was first class and freshly cooked, most of the sweets were homemade and the bake well tart was amazing. We found the staff extremely friendly and the atmosphere with the large log fire very inviting.

It was a busy Sunday lunch and me and my wife decided to go to the lime kiln for lunch. We were greeted by a very miserable and unfriendly man who i believe was one of the mangers who showed us to a table in the dining room. I went up to the bar to order our drinks and food where i felt very rushed to make an order, I chose the pork steak while my wife chose the smoked salmon and prawn salad. We waited around half an hour for our food, when we were brought our food by a young waitress with mid length dark brown hair she put the food without saying anything to us. My wife started to eat her salad when she found a prawn shell on one of the prawns, the prawns seemed like they had just been defrosted and there was very little salmon for near fifteen pounds. My pork steak was extremely overcooked and tough, and the vegetables seemed like they had been pre-cooked and microwaved when needed. When we had finished our main course the same waitress came back and collected our plates and walked off back to the kitchen without asking if we wanted a desert board, we had to wave her down when she reappeared and ask her for one. While we were waiting for our desert all we could here was obscene language coming from the kitchen. When we got our deserts they were the only good thing about the meal.Once we finished our deserts we went to the bar to pay once we paid the manager did not thank us and didn't have much to say at all. Overall the food did not match the price and the service was terrible we shall not be eating here again.
