“one of our favourite agriturismo”

We visited sardinia a bit earlier than usual this year (Feb) and it was a bit chilly in the evenings.
All the better to enjoy the real woodburner installed in the little cottage, it was great.
The whole family are very friendly and accomodating (even the cats), and the surrounding area is full of interesting places to go and see.
If you can make it up the steps, it is well worth walking up to see the ruins of the castle & the cute little chapel on top of a nearby hill.
A good place to stay if you have been on a bike ride with bike-gallura (as we had). Enjoy.

We stayed here for the first 5 days of our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The location, although off the beaten track, was bliss – quiet, relaxing and rural. You need a decent car when staying as the main road up to it is dusty and stoney – we had to take it really slow in our little Alfa Romeo Mito!

The accommodation though basic was comfortable and we had all we needed for a self-catering break. Saying that you need the kitchenette thanks to the incredible meal offered 6 out of the 7 nights each week in the main farmhouse.

With only 6 rooms on site, it’s like eating dinner in a front room. Comfortable and friendly. There was milk, juice and butter in our fridge upon arrival, jam and honey on the table, and we were given fresh bread for breakfast everyone morning.

The evening meal is amazing – 4 courses of plentiful, traditional Italian food and wine for only 18 Euros a head. You couldn’t get a meal like this for such a good price anywhere in the local towns if you were eating out.

The location is great – the closet beach is only half an hour away – and we explored a number of beaches while we were there and the location, being quite central, allowed us to do that.

The one negative – if we had to find one – would be the bed. Ours was very hard and not a very comfortable sleep! But when you have a beach to doze on all day, it’s not so bad.

Simona speaks great English and the family are all so friendly – we can’t recommend La China enough.

We found our stay here to be a very good change of pace to hotels and larger towns. Here you can get a very authentic farm stay. It is quiet, the little cottages are comfortable, and you have a kitchen. The grounds make for very good quick hikes/walks.

The farm meals are really amazing and that is for lunch and dinners.

The farm is a good base for exploring various parts of Northern Sardinia but be prepared to drive at least half hour to get to places which is reasonable and that is what most guests do and then return to the farm for a restful night.

La China was one of the best places we have been to in all of our travels. The place is amazing! The setting is beautiful and quiet - a bit off the beaten track (which we loved). We could drive easily to any tourist location and get noise and people - but coming home to La China was relaxing and peaceful. The food is absolutely 5 Star quality. Everyone is helpful and honest. We made good (new) friends staying here because dinner is served family style and we shared wine and good food and laughs through the evening together. I give this place my highest recommendation. I found it on Trip Advisor and felt obligated to tell others that this place is fo real and is a MUST if you are traveling in Sardinia.

We (family with two little children) stayed three nights at La China. The appartment was nice, the view stunning. Perfect location to explore northern sardinia.
After reading all reviews I looked forward to visit La China. A few remarks on all reviews
- in the three days we've been there no meals (dinner or lunch) were prepared
- Simona lives here with here staff, it looks like her sister and Michelle are no longer part of the team
- the breakfast consist of 1 or 2 (monday) old dry bread with milk, honing and jam, all bought at a supermarket (nothing from their own land)

Concluding: this definitely is a nice place to stay but my experience isn't as positive as the older reviews.

Well it has all been said - but I had to add my feedback about La China.

We stayed for half our trip to Sardinia in a hotel - this was nice, but staying at La China gave so much more of a feel for Sardinia and we can't wait to go back.

Do have dinner at the farm every opportunity you get - fantastic food, wine and company and great value - this really adds to the overall experience.

It is a wonderful place so just book it - look no further!

I second everything said here about La China. The setting is beautiful and calm, the rooms were spacious and clean with a lovely rustic charm. The hosts were both very welcoming and professional - we felt right at home.
Dinner is a MUST! The best meal we had in Sardinia. Pasta, lamb, home made cheeses, copious amounts of wine and limoncello.
La China is a wonderful place - you will not regret it if you go.
