Stayed here a week from 5/8/17 with our 2 children aged 8&9.
We've stayed in a number of rental properties, mostly in France so we have a good base for comparison.
The property is in a stunning location. The scenery is beautiful. It is quite isolated but you can find several places to eat locally within about 20 minutes drive. I recommend Terra Mia.
There was lots to do in the area, we visited Randazzo, Taormina, the beach at Fiumifreddo, Mount Etna trek and Gole Alcantara. A guest book with recommendations or more local information would be helpful.
The beds are very comfortable.
The kitchen could do with a few more amenities (no colander or corkscrew) and the outside table was tiny.
The outside stairs were a complete pain. You needed the key to open the upstairs door and it was difficult for the kids to open on their own. Plus they are in the sun most of the day so hot going up and down.
The pool is fine. Much needed in the heat.
The manager didn't speak English but was friendly and we made ourselves understood. He booked us a table at a local restaurant one evening when they were doing a special meal and it was delicious and cheap.
