“Nice and Comfortable but not heritage property”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

I stayed here for 2 nights as this was recommended by a business associate and was close to the places we wanted to go.
The Hotel looks great from outside but is not so from the inside. Rooms are ordinary and there is nothing like a heritage in this place.
The reception is excellent. The TV room and the reading room is certainly good.
The breakfast is also good.
This place is also a convention center and you suddenly find a lot of people in this loneliness.

I will not highly recommend this place but if there is no other place to live in this area I will stay here always.

This hotel claims to be a four star, which it might have been many years ago. While older hotels can certainly have their charm, this particular one didn't charm me. Now, the price was very reasonable, so some people could argue that you get what you pay for. First off, the area. we had a terrible time finding this place. It really is in the middle of nowhere. I am not sure if they were fertilizing or if there is a cattle ranch nearby, but the stench of manure outside was extremely overwhelming.

If you arrive on a Monday, be aware that the restaurant is closed! We had to eat across the street at a roadhouse that was fly infested. Dead flies everywhere. It was so disgusting that I lost my appetite.

On arrival, the room was very muggy. Luckily there is an a/c unit, but it gave off a strange smell. The room in general was not very clean. There was still plenty of shaven hair on the bathroom sink. The walls could use a good paint job. The tv is very old with poor reception.

Breakfast was pretty good, with plenty to choose from. But I didn't appreciate the stained table cloth. Nagging flies everywhere.

Wi-fi was complimentary.

We won't be returning.

Room Tip: Ask if they have any newly renovated rooms. The one we had was ancient!

My wife and I stayed here one night after a business meeting in Bergamo. Our business associates highly recommended this as a change to the usual hotel room. The hotel is located within the grounds of an ancient medieval village, while the hotel & restaurant have been renovated to retain its historic past while offering modern amenities.
Our room was extremely spacious, with vaulted wood beamed ceiling and ceramic tiled floors covered with Oriental rugs.
We dined at their relaxed restaurant that night in a long, narrow space with tables along a wall of glass windows on one side.
Overall a wonderful experience for a change of pace!

Nice and different hotel, more like a guest house. Breakfast buffet was not that big, but nice with a bit of everything, also healthy alternatives as fruit and youghurt. Great coffee! Room was big and nice, with a nice view to mountains and fields. Nice surroundings and garden next to hotel! But here are the important cons: DO NOT drive by car to this hotel unless you know where it is, or have a GPS. The signs are very poor, and it was quite difficult to find from Bergamot! Would stay again IF the price was right. Wouldnt pay alot just because of the 4 stars!

Off the beaten track so not really a base for tourists unless you have a car, but a very nice place. I stayed here as a guest for a meeting but found the staff to be very relaxed and welcoming, the food pretty good and the rooms OK, if a bit dated. The bathrooms are very good but the water could be a bit hotter for my tastes. Bed was twin singles but comfortable enough.

Room Tip: Try asking for a room a little closer to reception. The place is like a rabbit warren - which I like...

We have stayed there for 1 night in June 2011 and felt frustrated not to stay for longer. The place has its own style and ambience and is very scenery and provincial - which is particularly valued if you live in a big city. My parents were absolutely charmed by this place and took picture of every meter in coridors and in the garden. Definitely would go back.

After having visited and enjoyed my stay at the hotel on March of 2011, I am prompted to write this review after having read a negative one. After having visited Bergamo and its vicinity, we were happy to have found the hotel located outside in the countryside a short drive from the city centre. The reception was warm and welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was more than large, and impeccable.
Next morning, the staff members greeted us with genuine warmth that can not be easily found elsewhere. The breakfast was more than good and plentiful. I can say it was one of the best I've had. Did I mention how nice and warm the staff members were. The room was very well arranged when we returned from our trip to Verona and Brescia.
As we were checking out the next morning, my friend discovered his passport was stolen while we were visiting Verona. Not knowing what to do, we asked the staff for help. Moira, and other staff members sprung into action and made sure we were able to get a new passport by calling the U.S. Consulate in Milan and made sure we were able to drive in to Milan. We got a new passport within three hours!!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!!!
