Our first night here, we were tired and hungry after a long days travel and moving into our apartment. This place was highly recommended by our agent. Must not have been a good night for them. I ordered a glass of wine, which took about 15 min to get. My husband got his beer quickly. After waiting a bit and watching everyone else get served, I finally politely asked again thinking they had just forgotten. Was told "a moment", which was about another 10 min. Finally I saw a young child ride up to the front on his bike and hand the owner a bag. Yup, my box wine arrived! My meal of typical fare - rice, beans and chicken was dry and the worst pasty rice I've had in all of central & South America. Mikes sea food was only "ok" but certainly nothing to go back for. After reading all of the reviews, I'm thinking it might not have been a good night for them. We might give them a 2nd try but it's hard to justify at their prices.

El Muelle Uno ,great location out by the boats ,on the river , really good food , not the quickest services but the place was busy the 3 times I ate there. They have a lunch special too that was only $2.50.

This is the place to be for seafood. on the coast hands down!
The seafood soup with prawns, crab albacore, oysters, was $5 and huge. great location right out on the pier , looking over the calm relaxing waters of the chone estuary. and of course the incredible land mark of Ecuador Puente los Caras, Its very opened and out doors but no wind ,not like the other side of the Bahia peninsula.

The fixed price lunch with fresh fish soup, rice, cabbage salad, chicken and fresh fruit juice is only three dollars! The people are friendly and attentive and the location is right on the water.

Great service and wonderful food. This is one of the restaurants that we suggest that everyone tries. The food is delicious and very very affordable. For a city that you cannot a lot of edible red meat, this place has a wonderful steak and salad and loaded potato. We will go back again for sure. Thank you guys
