“Home from home”

No need to worry about what you'll find here when you arrive. Spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly want from a holiday home. The lounge is large, spacious and light with two beautiful sets of patio doors into the lounge and dining area with lovely views over the open countryside behind. Outside is a sizeable garden, a lovely patio with loungers and a large dining table for al fresco eating. Unfortunately we were desperately unlucky with the weather as it poured down all week but it didn't diminish the comfort of this house and how glad were we to have the large TV with English channels? Due to the weather we didn't venture out too much although between the showers we did visit most of the local towns from La Rochelle to Royan, both worth the trip. With the excellent Super U supermarket close by we still had a very restful and enjoyable week. They say if you like somewhere when it's rating you'll love it when it's sunny and that's certainly true of Les Levandes. Don't hesitate to come here you won't be disappointed.

“We certainly hope to return!”
Reviewed June 5, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We have really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable well-equipped house. The large windwos are a real asset – watching kites, hoopoes, kestrel, black redstarts….and the ever changing evening skies. Being able to cycle straight from the house is a bonus. This area has such a diverse range of landscapes to explore within a few miles of the house. We certainly hope to return!

“Beautiful Gite”

Our family stayed in this Gite from the 31st August until the 7th September 2013. We would all truly recommend this Gite to anyone visiting this area of France. It was absolutely beautiful. Extremely well equipped. Kaye and Mark have thought of everything even down to the books, magazines and dvds. There is nothing at all that you would not be able to put your hands on. The view from the terrace at the back of the Gite is amazing. You must watch the sun coming up in the mornings and going down at night. Catch the stars at night while you are having a glass of wine (or two) on the terrace - unbelievable. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. Would not hesitate in booking this beautiful place again.
