Owner description: A chance for you to fly a hawk around the spectacular grounds of Ashford Castle in a private one hour Hawk Walk. No-one ever forgets the moment when their hawk first swoops down from a tree to land on their gloved fist - Flying a hawk is an experience of a lifetime!

“Absolutely fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

For us, perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We did the one-hour Hawk Walk and enjoyed every second of it. We had a very knowledgeable guide with an infectious respect and love for the birds. Seeing them fly on Ashford Castle grounds and through the forest was awe-inspiring. It is an expensive activity, but a well-worth it experience. Do come prepared for the outdoors--especially in Ireland. Bring a hat, rain boots and a rain jacket, just in case, in our case it all added to the fantastic experience.

“A must do”

We have been raving about this since we did it. We learned a ton about falconry from Owen, who was our guide, and were amazed at the power and agility of the hawks. Would do it again in an instant

This was such a great experience!! Something I would not have the opportunity to do elsewhere. Went in a group of 2 which was great. We each got our own hawk and our guide was excellent!!

“Unbelievable experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

Had falconry lesson with Mark and falcons Milly and Rua. It is an experience like no other! To be walking through the castle grounds while flying falcons and learning so much from Mark about the falcons and history of the sport was an unbelievable experience! Put this on your bucket list today! I have traveled all over the world- walked the Great Wall of china, Eiffel Tower, Westminster Abbey and Grand Bazaar in Istanbul to name a few but this is at the top of my list!
