“Misery on a plate”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

In a word, dreadful!
My wife had seafood chowder, which tasted like potato and parsnip soup (co-incidently potato and parsnip was the soup of the day). I had lasagne, straight from the microwave, heated so much it was dried out. My son had pizza, tasted like it came from Lidl. my other son has sausages and chips, they were ok (to be fair, how can you go wrong with sausages and chips). The service was pretty bad as well. Never again.

“Where do I start - shocking owner !!!”
Reviewed August 21, 2014 via mobile

Ate here recently and can only agree with one of the reviewers in saying the food is terrible, no flavours , dry and pricey, I said it in passing to the owner and he became aggrieved and walked away laughing. Now , I can only advise others to Stay away from this supposed "hotel" . Dire experience. !!!!!! I left and went to a local coffee shop called puddleducks and can only advise others to visit.

“Place to Buy Beer”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

If you are staying at the Ashford Castle and want to buy beer close by, go to Ryans, they sell cold beer at a good price for take away.
