“dive in moalboal”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

Moalboal will always be a favorite by all folks in Cebu. I think almost everyone has been in this place. An affordable white sand beach in the strait of Basdaku. Easy access, especially if you love land travel, and just go staright to Kawasan if you like. For as low as P1500, you can already rent a cottage and and go for overnight without the limit of people inside it..(go the cowboy style).

“Great snorkling site”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Go 50m into the water and you will encounter a great snorkling place. There is a coral wall, some 6-7m deep, and couple of km long, with the most amazing sights.

Beach itself can get very loud and crowded during weekends, as previous reviews stated, but during week times it is a peacefull place. Little downside is the much too pushy vendors on the beach.

“Beautiful Beach”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

This is one of the beaches in Cebu I'd like to go back again and again. It's clear, pristine waters and wide stretch of white sand are just perfect for swimming, strolling or just lazing around. You can rent accommodations from any resorts or just erect a tent at the beach front and your good to go. We went to Non-HK Resort, a cheap resort for those on the budget with simple needs. Food is not a problem since there are food stalls inside the area where you can eat.

“Too many people littering trash + reef damaging tourist boats.”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

During the weekdays it's a fine little beach spot with not too many people. You will have to constantly deal with Filipino vendors trying to sell you stuff. Worst time to go is the weekend when boisterous Filipinos kids are too rampant. Worst of all is people leave their trash everywhere and it will go into the sea. Also very bad for the beach reef are the horrible little boats that run up and down the sea shore spilling gas and fumes into the air and sea. This should be stopped. This little beach place can be so much better if they make rules to keep the beach clean and reef from being pestered with people on it and boats going over it. There is a small entrance fee also.

“Bigsands campground Moal Boal stay clear !!!!!”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

Moal Moal is very pretty and was a nice place to visit. Great snorkeling and beaches. Sad to see lots of litter on such a beautiful beach which could do with a clean up. Whatever you do don't stay at the Bigsands camp ground, they call it a resort but it's the polar opposite. Paying 2000 peso for a room was so not worth it, go with a 3 star somewhere else up the beach and clear of this dive of a place. There was a group staying who sang karaoke all night, from 12-6am played games screaming at the top of their lungs and them pumping the karaoke again at 6am, the care taker or lack of care backward idiot didn't care for the other guests and allowed that behaviour. Totally disgraceful.
