6 of us including me lived at this resort from 13-16 June 2013. It's very far from the airport and needs a 3 hr car ride but it's totally worth it.. The sea is really beautiful and clear.. The resort is located right near the great beautiful sea..We snorkel almost everyday at the beach where there are nice coral reefs and rich marine life in front..My friends did diving in front with the diving instructor and the owner..was a great experience..
We lived in all 3 types of their rooms, dolphin, seaview and swiss cottage.. As this is a really small town, the amenities are very basic, don't expect hotel facilities and services here if you are very used to hotel.. There are times water shortage occurs which happen once in my trip. However the managers Monique and Roland are nice hosts always with smile, they tried to answer to our queries as much as possible.. even though I know there are times they cant do anything like water shortages, the TV in dolphin room cant connect to the satellite at all..
If you just want a basic room, swiss cottage are pretty good but do note there is no TV and fridge here..just there for a bath and sleep..
If you want something more, seaview room is most decent priced and have TV, fridge and a big queen size bed but flaw is it's located beside the dive room and restaurant so there is not much privacy, bed is really soft so might have to get used to it if you are a fan of soft bed..please note only one seaview room is available..
As for the dolphin room, it can accommodate 6 people in a room great for family and it's spacious, have a great balcony which overlooks to the sea, great for a chill .. however, its connection there are pretty weak, wifi cant be connected there, TV cable connection always goes offline, it's pretty pricey if you are there as a couple.
We had all our meals in the resort restaurant, food in the restaurant were delicious and as i'm a vegetarian, they cater to my needs and can do it the style I want :) very thankful for that, however price are slightly expensive and as they prepared food from scratch, we always waited for more than 1 hour for our food during peak hours.. suggestion is you can order your food at least 1 hr before you want to have it to avoid waiting too long when hungry. though I would say it's really worth the wait!
The overall stay was not bad , felt two flaws are no outside food and drinks are allowed, felt Monique tone wasn't nice when she was telling us, we understood if every guest do that, there are no business for them but I have times I have cravings for my own local food like instant noodles and porridge which is not on the menu.. maybe they should charge for the hot water so that can solve my homesickness for my local food and still earning money for the resort :)
another flaw is that there are no blankets provided for all the rooms..maybe it's because the weather in Cebu can get really hot but I still prefer to sleep with a blanket, felt weird without one.
Anyway, thankful for the stay ! :)
