We thought we'd booked a different resort for a Christmas getaway, but when we got off the van in Moalboal and rang the resort number for directions, we realised we'd mistakenly booked at a different resort on our list. Luckily, it was a great mistake.

Good dive shop, friendly staff, good value rooms, not far at all to the bars and restos of this quiet foreigner-friendly town. The snorkelling just off the resort is lovely too.

Would definitely stay again.

Quo Vadis dive resort is a friendly resort in Moalboal. It's located in the southern part of Panagsama beach. This is the more quiet part Panagsama.

We rented a seaview studio. The pro is that you are close to the divecentre and have a nice view over the sea. The con is that they are a little bit noisy , which might be a problem if your neighbors are not the social types and start to talk very loud in the middle of the night. Next time we'll try to get a bungalow without connected rooms.

The food in the bar and the connected restaurant is good. In the bar they occasionally had some problems with availability of items on he menu, but this was not a big issue.

Diving is very well organised with two boat dives a day. Safety, like oxygen tanks, is up to standards. In addition you can do housereef dives on your own. Before you do, check the current as it might be strong and will cost you some effort to swim against it. Diving Pescador is almost daily and is very nice. When we were there the sardines were coming back to who knows what follows them.

Stayed just overnight, however even that was a welcomed break to hustle and bustle of Manila. The resort is just by the sea, easy access for diving and snorkeling, just bear in mind, there is no real beach due to the erosion. The attached Dive School runs two schedules diver per day at 9 am and 2.30 pm. The staff are super friendly and the 2 bars/restos provide good value for money, just don't expect any culinary experiences though.

The next day I rented a cab for all day for 3000 pesos, went first to Oslob to have a swim with whale sharks before returning to Cebu to catch evening flight to Manila. A truly amazing experience.

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the setting. Rooms were cleaned daily and included free tea and coffee. Breakfast is served in the restaurant right on the water. All the food was delicious but a bit more expensive than other places (last filling station and the mexican opposite it were our favourite places to eat) Good to have a pool as you cant really sit on the beach. 20 minute trike ride takes you to White Beach but its not one of the nicest beaches and was full of stray dogs. Not much to do in Moalboal other than the diving.

Five days at "Quo Vadis", and not much to say as everything was fine: the staff pleasant and helpful, the bungalow was clean and of large size, and even has private parking for my car.The place is quite at night and the restaurant provides good clean food and certainly is one of the best in Moalboal/Panagsama beach. Would I go back again, yes ! Would I recommended it: yes !

My friend and i was staying there for 2 nights---the location is just perfect cause you can enjoy the aqua aqua blue sea right in front of the window.
One of the most important thing is HOW TO GET THERE FROM CEBU AIRPORT
Here you go:
Get a Yellow Taxi from Cebu Airport to the South Bus Terminal 20min 200 pesos
Cerus Yellow bus 3 hrs 120 pesos
Tri-cycle REMEMBER TO BARGAIN 15min 50 pesos
Don't worry it totally worth it--the view and service at this resort is awesome. The garden got the lush greenery and everyone is so helpful and friendly. We did 1 dive and also went to check out the waterfall there, at night there are a couple of bars around which is fun enough.
If you are looking for something fancy, this is probably not the best place --but if you wonna have a real taste of the philippines and meet the most adorable people for partying and exploring new adventures---bingo, here we go! I can't wait to get back.

I had a fantastic 3 night stay at Quo Vadis resort. At P1200 per night, you can't beat the value for a spotless fan room. I stayed in Garden Room #6 and it was perfect. At just under a 10 minute walk along the beach walk from the better-known bars and restaurants, it's location made for a nice separation from the all the fun kind of trouble that happens at the island bar scene. The resort is a safe stumbling distance away.
I dove with Visayan Divers which is co-located on the hotel property. Divemasters Rolly and Dodong were safe, professional, and fun to dive with.

Room Tip: Bring a mini-flashlight for a safe night-time passage across the pitted paths and stairways that tak...
