Well now back home after a great two weeks at the Iris, this is the third time in ten years we have stayed here.
It is a family run buisness, it has a main hotel with acomidation & breakfast & another block of self catering which face onto the pool, they have updated the poolside bar since our last trip.
Self catering rooms have a fridge, sink & table top cooker, the cleaners are in 6 days a week ( Sunday off ) spotless.
The general day starts with I think breakfast in the hotel at between 7.30 - 9.30
Minas comes & opens the bar about 9.00 & guest's just start to filter in & around the pool all day, people come & go , Minas cooks breakfast's, lunches etc through out the day.
The pool is not the biggest , about 25 meters but it's deep & clean.
We went in the middle of may this time , the weather was cooler & it was the start of the season so it was quite quiet everywhere.
It's about 20 minutes walk into town, which we did most times, you can hire push bikes from Dave who rents out from the front of the hotel, he also does scooters. There is a regular bus from the end of the road every half hour, its one way only for €1.10 each way, at the moment it's €7 taxis back if you miss the last bus or to tired to walk.
In general great relaxing hotel, idea for young family, well everyone really ( bit quite for 18 - 25's )
Aircon in self catering extra €5 per day if required , not sure about hotel
