We stayed as a couple for 9 nights end of April into May. I have stayed at several Mitsis hotels on other islands, but this is probably the best so far. It was the start of the season of course, so everything was spotless & the staff were keen. I would recommend this hotel & the chain to anyone, & especially for value for money (we paid £48 pn on hotels4u!). Our room which we paid extra for because of the seaview was very pleasant, although we made comment on the fact that the double bed was made up with 2 single sheets & 2 single blankets, overlapping. Reception told us this was normal, but the next day & the rest of our stay we had double sheets! It is good to have a minibar in the room, but we felt that just one large bottle of water per 2 days was a little tight, & when we asked for more water, we were told to buy it in the shop. I suggest less variety of soft drinks & more water - surely cheaper for the hotel. Mostly the food was good, & we didn't have any problem getting into the speciality restaurants. The service was a little haphazard in the Chinese, & very rushed, but cooked in front of your eyes. The Italian food was not so good, & the steak medallions were so tough they were inedible, unfortunately.
It was quite an easy walk into Kos town, & on several days we hired bikes to cycle further. This was a great experience, as there is a good cycle path that goes past the hotel, through Kos town, & beyond, so it is safe for children too. The hotel offers a free picnic, which is unusual, but we were surprised to find just 2 dry slices of bread in it, along with wrapped up ham, cheese, cucumber & tomatoes. The hotel needs to put in some of their lovely rolls rather than 2 slices of bread for 2 people.
We will definitely return to this hotel, if we can get another cheap deal, & certainly try one of the other Mitsis hotels on this island or elsewhere. Very highly recommended indeed!

Room Tip: The rooms with seaview were quieter, away from the pool & entertainment.

My hubby and I went with our friends and had an absolutely fantastic holiday. We agree with all the positive comments below so won't bore you with repeating them. Thanks to Stavros, hotel owner, for being so welcoming and employing such friendly and dedicated staff. They all looked after us so well and had a laugh also - thanks especially to Yiannis, Georgi, Adonis, Nickos (I think) who brought us cocktails to sample in preparation for cocktail of the week for the following week - Blue Hawaii - lush!
We hired bikes for 3 euros a day and cycled to Kos town and on to Tigaki one day - brilliant (wouldn't bother with a packed lunch though! - not that a few hours without food will do you any harm as there's so much choice all meals and a wonderful beach bar with waiter service for lunch serving kebabs, pizzas, burgers etc)
We don't ususally visit the same hotel twice but will definitely be going back there - hopefully end September when we'll hire a quad and see more of the island than we could on a bike.

The friendliness of the staff and the clientele definitely made this holiday extra special.

Room Tip: I expect any room would be fine. We had a room in a block number 474 with a view of the main pool a...

Just returned from a lovely week at this hotel on Kos. The food was good and always hot. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and our mini bar was restocked every two days. The staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Pods on the beach are great as is the food at the beach bar. Drinks are excellent and the 2a.m bar is part of the all inclusive which you don't get at many hotels. First hotel we have been to where nobody put towels on the sun beds at 5 in the morning!
Would recommend this hotel and will go back hopefully later this year.

Room Tip: Rooms by the small pool look really good.

From the moment of arriving to our sad departure we could not have asked for a better hotel. The food, service, décor and room were top class. The staff were so friendly and polite, and nothing was too much trouble. Waiter service was excellent, around the pool, in the restaurant, and even very late at night and always with a smile and good humour. The food was of a high standard with choices for everyone. The beautiful hotel was spotless inside and around the lovely gardens. The staff work extremely hard to make your stay unforgettable. I have recommended this hotel to my friends and family since getting home, as they would not be disappointed. The Ramira is a short distance from Kos town which is beautiful and must be visited. A big thank you to all the team for making this a special holiday. Carol Rogers.

This hotel ticks all the right boxes. We were two ladies on our own and we were treated with the upmost kindness and respect. The staff were fantastic in everyway possible, not just to us but to everyone. The staff had name tags and they addressed you by name too. The hotel was classy, very good decor, spotless in every way, not even any fallen leaf foliage. The food was great, plenty of choice, and the waiter service was as good as you can get, a big thank you to Nicko, the restaurant manager. The pool areas were surperb, plenty of chairs, loungers, and plenty of well mannered, eager waiters ,ready at your call for drinks. The hotel location is great, with a bus stop right outside, 5 minutes on bus takes you into Kos Town, plenty to see there, and very pretty. I would certainly reccomend this great hotel to anyone, I have high expectations, and this hotel ticks all boxes, I look forward to holiday there again with other family members and will be great to see all the lovely staff again. Thank you to All the staff, well done. S Whatling.

Just got back & we loved every minute. Staff are lovely, can't do enough for you, they work so hard. we always took the bus into Kos, which is very easy- costs $3.20 for 2 one way, or a few cents cheaper if you buy from the Booth when coming back from Kos.
The hotel has such a lovely feel to it- gardens are beautiful, yes, the shore is pebbly- but buy those beach shoes & you will be fine. We were all inclusive & the food was the best we have ever had- and we are fussy vegetarians. We had both an Italian & a Chinese night- food & service was excellent in both. The clientèle was well behaved- I didn't come across any rudeness or pushing in like you usually can expect from a mixed nationality crowd. Towels are not allowed to be put on sunbeds early, so no problems there- There are also 2 pools, so if you want a quieter one, go there (bar there too) rooms & areas are spotless, the animation team are not pushy at all, and genuinely interested in you, but do ask if you want to dance, or play games etc. The shows on a night looked very good, but we tended to be elsewhere.
I can't big this place up enough- I would go back there in a heartbeat.
niggles if you were very very picky. TV in room is old- but who cares? I turned it on once & turned it off- didn't have it on again during our stay. WiFi is free & plentyful- can be slow, but early mornings are quick if you must get those emails etc!
BIG thankyou to the reception letting me at their computer to print off my return RyanAir ticket !!!! and for our free upgrade to room 561- it was special.(Beds tend to be large singles pushed together- but very comfortable - air con is free) Thank you again so very much
By the way- the booze is named brands- e.g. Baileys (if they have any left after our hit it!) Gordons Gin, etc, the lager greek generic- my Hubby liked it- the white wine was lovely in the bar- and try the Seven Dwarves Cocktails if you dare- Sleepys are well recommended.
Valerie & Carol- my email is Arramattic @ Gmail . com - Phil got it wrong. Lovely to meet you & Sue & Danny xxx

me and my partner stayed the first week may 2012 and were very pleasantly surprised. staff from the bottom to the very top are smiling and very helpful..ask anything and they will always make it happen, and always be pleasant about it.. the hotel is sparkling clean and the three restaurants are all equally as good. the main restauraunt has many different choices every night., and the chinese and italian(which have to be booked) are a different treat. you are seateds in all restaurant to your table where a waiter will fetch your drinks and clear your table. beach location is very good(outside the door, but pebbly) there is a beach/grill bar with waiter service for the bar and sun loungers, location to kos harbour is not too far to walk. pool area is also top standard, very clean. enternainment is varied and in its own stage area away from the bar...the outside seating areas are well placed around the bars and very comfy seating. waiters are constantly clearing tables and taking orders for your drinks so no need to move all night if you dont want..there is a shop a very good jewellers in reception.. outside themain reception bycicles and mopeds and qauds can be hired..also jeeps cars and buggys (we hired a beach buggy for two days it was a fun way to see the island)...the grounds are all lawned giving a plush feel with the palm trees...i can not reccomend this hotel enough to anyone wanting to try kos...the surrounding area is amazing and full of ruins and a castle, all the people you come across are very friendly helping make this a definate location to stay top marks all round
