Fourth year staying at the Platanista, still excellent although this year was a little different, I broke my ankle in three places not at the hotel but on the road leading to the beach.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they even drove me to hospital, they provided wheelchair and we never had to wait for a table in the evenings.
Staff brilliant, friendly and accommodating. The Platanista is not large built in the Moorish style in blocks which are attractive, lovely gardens well kept pools and good bars, prices we reckoned were about the same as last year.
The Platanista has a small private beach with plenty of sun loungers 5 euros a day, it is luckily outside Kos town but there is an excellent bus service, also plenty of cycle hire.
Plenty of goood food withn a large variety at all meals, service is excllent even though it is all buffet style, quality excellent.Weather superb as always with a sea breeze.
Ther only drawback is Kos airport small overcrowded and busy.
