This was our first experiance with an all inclusive resort and overall we had an AMAZING time! The choice in food was amazing, servie was excellent and we really enjoyed all the amazing oppertunities to just relax and enjoy the water. Great for friends and family. If lots of kids bother you, might not be the best for couples. We did not like how far the rooms were from the lobby and the buffets and being limited to internet only in the lobby. They provide a shuttle between the rooms and the lobby/buffets, but be prepared to wait (or get lucky). Besides the proximity of the rooms and lack of internet, this resort is amazing, and the service is phenominal. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some good food, sun, and service.

Dear guest

First of all we would like to thank you for your recent vacations at Iberostar.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the premises and that the service exceeded your expectations.

Thank you for sharing your opinion with us since it helps us to improve our service. We do have a train that runs around the premises during the day as well as a bell boy service with golf carts. However we already sent your comments to the Front desk Manager in order to improve this service.

Regarding the internet we are glad to inform you that we are working on a project in order to extend the internet access to public areas and rooms. Hopefully it will be available this year.

We really hope to have the pleasure to host you again and offer you other memorable vacations.

Sincerely,

Quality Manager

Thank you so much to the person who reviewed the Paraiso Beach and mentioned guests cannot use the wave pool! I stayed at the Lindo 9 years ago and loved it but settled for the beach since it was such a great deal. My boys are so excited about the wave pool, so now I am trying to upgrade. Nonetheless, Monica and Ismael have been AMAZING with their quick responses to my requests and questions regarding my son's nut allergies, etc. We travel with our children every summer, and I often email properties before arrival and get no response. Although I hope the $90 p/p per night upgrade fee can be reduced (there are 7 in our family), I highly recommend Iberostar based on customer service alone. I will give an update during our trip to report if this positive trend continues.

This place IS gorgeous ! HOWEVER besides the beauty there are some things i did not like. the buffets were 50/50. the Japanese restaurant was the best meal we had there , the mexican restaurant was really good also. IF You Buy A CALLING CARD THEY DO NOT WORK ! I WASTED MONEY ON THAT AND IM STILL NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT. they have calling cards at the resort, they Are $20 for 20 MIns. the WiFi iS NOT FREE ItS $15 A day which sounds like a rip off BUT It Goes by how many hours of wifi was used. you dont pay the full price unless the total was 24hrs.There is CHEAP INTERNET in A Variety Store IN The Shopping Cent Er. The Shopping Centers Food WAS GOOD ! WAY BETTER Than the Buffets. THE PLACE IS HUGE Which Was SLIGHTLY ANNOYING . TO Get ANYWHERE Even TO The Lobby From your Room (Unless YOUR Room IS IN Walking Distance) You HAVE TO Take A Shuttle Cart. WE Took the Carts QUITE Often Because ITS Just TOO MUCH WALKING. (TOO MUCH) The Beach Was AMAZING, THE POOLS WERE GREAT but THOSE DRINKS SUCKED (ORDER SHOTS) if I HaD To Rate IT I Would Give IT A 7 Total.

Room Tip: the rooms are beautiful and clean i must give them a 10 for that

Dear Guest,

The Iberostar Paraiso Beach Team would like to thank you for your recent stay, and for taking the time to share your comments with us.

We are more than glad to know that you enjoyed the Japanese and the Mexican restaurants. The Chef and his staff will feel motivated after reading your comments, to improve the selection and the services at the main buffets.

It is great to know that you found our Hotel always gorgeous and well maintained, and that you were able to find transportation every time you needed a ride in our premises.

We will pass your constructive criticism on the different department managers so that improvements are made. Regarding internet, we have a project to improve the service and extend it to rooms and other common areas, this year.

If you return to Mayan Riviera in the near future, it would be our pleasure to welcome you back to our premises.

Sincerely,

Quality Manager

The buffet was not very good, although the restaurants have good food (but you can't always get into a restaurant). There were also animals in the restaurants! We saw a number of cats eating food on the ground, and birds would fly in and eat off of people's plates. Food at the grills was pretty bad, too (the only place you can eat in swim clothes), although the grouper and hamburgers were pretty good. The mixed drinks were okay, but not great (too much ice used, made drinks like pina coladas feel watered down). Lots of mosquitos, though. Also, it rained the first two days we were there, and there are no covered walkways from the rooms to the lobby/restaurants. You can call for a cart to pick you up, but you still have to walk through the rain to the main sidewalk where they wait for you (they won't drive it up to your building).

There are images of a wave pool and water park, but that's not accessible to you! You need to stay at the Lindo or Maya to use them. The beach was nice, and the pools are nice. However, there's only one place to get towels, and it's a long walk from both the room and the beach.

Entertainment was good. Most shows weren't bad (magic show was good, folk dancing was bad). The kids didn't really care for the kids club. There wasn't much to do there. The entertainment team was great. They were all super friendly, and always happy and having fun.

There are very few places that are air-conditioned. We went in early/mid June, which is already hot, so I'm glad I didn't go during July/August! They don't have any air-conditioned buffets. Also, there's no free wifi in the lobby area, which is pretty common nowadays (we've been to about 5 different Cancun resorts now).

The tennis courts are in need of maintenance (the surface is peeling from the concrete), and the mosquitos out there will eat you alive while you play.

The one thing I can't complain about is the service. Everyone is so nice and helpful. They really treat you well. Unfortunately, there are better resorts out there, so we're not coming back. If you're considering this place, stay at the Maya (preferably) or Lindo instead (best to worst: Grand, Maya, Lindo, Beach, Del Mar). The Maya has air-conditioning and free wifi, and I'm sure the food is better, too.

Dear Guest,

We would like to thank you for choosing to stay at Iberostar Paraiso Beach and for taking the time to share your review about your experience.

Your positive comments regarding our friendly staff and service are much appreciated!

The management of Iberostar is committed to providing services, facilities and an ambiance which satisfies our guests’ requirements and therefore we extend our sincerest apologies if you were disappointed with certain aspects of our resort. Please rest assured however that all your observations have been noted and will be passed along to the respective department managers.

We are sorry to hear that your experience with us did not live up to your expectations concerning the food and drink quality. We already shared it with the Executive Chef in order to look for improvement. Our Chef is always working on improving the different options offered at our buffets and à la carte restaurants, so he will welcome your observations.

Regarding the mosquitoes we would like to inform you that the hotel has a weekly fumigation program in order to keep them away from rooms and patios. But in cases where guests report any additional problem, we assist them right away and follow up during their stay make sure these stay away.

About the Wi-Fi thanks to our guests’ comments, we are working in improving that, so very soon this year we will have Wi-Fi in different areas of the resort with an extra fee.

Again we thank you for your comments and we sincerely hope that on your return to Mexico, you give us the opportunity to show you our improvements; it would be a real pleasure!

Kind regards,

Quality Manager
Iberostar Mexico

We stayed at this resort for 7 days, June 6-13....the place is awesome, a bit of walking from beach to rooms, etc, but not bad...the restaurants are great, they have 6 ala carte and if its slow week, you are able to dine more days. The pool is great, you can go to the tranquil if you dont want noise, or go to the party one, depending what you enjoy. The only thing we didnt like is that they cater alot to kids, the shows are mostly for family with kids, they advertise one show for kids early and one for adults later, but, it didnt happen..we went to the galaxy club 1 time and there was loud music for young ones, I guess when you go to Mexico, you want to have that feeling, and it was lacking it.....overall, it was fun.....be sure and take mosquito spray.....

Room Tip: 3400-3500 corner of resort, convenient to resturant, pool, lobby
