Description: In the heart of the fisherman village Bayahibe you will find our ''Quebecois'' roots bistro. Located in a paradise seaside restaurant, our terrace faces the splendors of the caribbean sea and becomes a central meeting place for tourists, locals and workers of the tourism industry. We offer a dynamic atmosphere in all its simplicity and service is available to you in French, English, Italian & Spanish. We do have Wi-Fi and it is available to all our customers. From breakfasts to burgers or a several service bistronomy dinner, international flavors are combined with the freshest local produce and are available at all hours of the day. The house specialty is lionfish and is prepared in variety of ways for you to savour. Ask us how this fish ended up on our menu... A true story of love and hate! You want an incentive to get out of your hotel? We pay your taxi transport from nearby hotels with any bistronomy package reservation! Not to forget, Saona Cafe is also great for Happy Hours and our seaside bar area is often open late! Here you will find the most extensive cocktail list in the region! Our musical ambiance is stylish & fresh and we are always open to special requests. Our music lists (and videos too) are uncomparable... Try us!

My husband and I (from UK) and my cousin and his wife (from Canada) were staying in a hotel near by and following from our brilliant excursion that we booked we met Sebastian who told us we must visit his cafe. So one sunny afternoon we decided to take a walk and enjoyed a few hours at the cafe drinking and enjoying the great atmosphere of the local life. MJ and the rest of the staff were super friendly, we got to taste lots of local rum and the Caipirinha cocktails that MJ made were the best!! Thank you for the great welcome you gave us and we will make sure that we all visit you again!!

We recently spent 8 days in the beautiful little fishing village of Bayahibe in the Dominican Republic & fell in love with Saona Cafe!! Our first day there we met Sebastian & Marie, the owners, & all the wonderful waitresses & bartenders,,, who made us feel so welcome & comfortable. We always had the best service, cold drinks, & excellent food!! We were even served a special, private dinner on the sandy patio & have never had a more excellent meal of lion fish & incredibly flavorful fruit salsa on top.!! We visited the cafe every day either for lunch, a cold presidente, cuba libre, or dinner & were never disappointed. Thank you Sebastian, Marie, & crew for making our visit one we will never forget!! Can't wait to return!! Adios!! Cheers!!

We ate here several times during our stay. Great burgers and sandwiches. Good prices. Owners and staff are very friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with them. Don't miss Saona if you are in Bayahibe. Also they have the best view of the bay from the cafe.

We spent a couple of hours here during our trip. We were staying at the nearby Dreams la Romana resort and cafe saona was only a short 5 minute walk along the beach to the cafe. We met one of the owners on an excursion to saona island with proexcursions. He cooked us a fabulous steak and lobster lunch and he told us about the cafe. We're glad we went! We met the owner's wife who was behind the bar when we were there. The service was exceptional. She made us amazing Caipirinha cocktails and at the same time was explaining the nearby attractions. We also got to sample some local rums! We Also had some local beers as well as mojitos. Although we didn't eat here, the menu looked amazing! And for us Canadians they even had poutine! The drinks were strong, mucho stronger and better than ones at dreams. The owners said that they have beach parties few times per year. Unfortunately we missed it but we'll definitely be back. For those of you staying at bayahibe this is for sure a place you don't want to miss! A completely safe walk from dreams and a good place to take in the locals and local culture as well as people watch. This was a nice change of scenery from the hotel. Thanks saona cafe :)

We stopped here for directions to our resort which was about 5 miles away. The person behind the bar was great, she came out to our car and told us exactly where to go. So, it was our first stop when we came back to town, and we would up there a few times. Owner and staff are super friendly and speak english:) The food and drink were excellent and very reasonably priced. They also provided us good advice on what to do in the area.
