It was only ok, the beach looked lovely but the minute you stepped foot over the boundry from the hotels private beach you were pounced upon by stall holders and they were very annoying. We only did so once but we would have loved to have walked on down to Bayahibe village.

Lovely soft white sand and clear sea with a great atmosphere but if you are not a local you will be harrassed by people trying to sell you things. This spoils the feel of it.gets packed with locals especially at the weekends & evenings.

It's a nice place to sit down in one of the ocean-front open-air cafes and have a beer, or a coconut while looking at the waves. If you are white, you will have little children approach you and beg for money, which is a little disturbing. Good place to take pictures, or dip in the shallow water if you got too hot and are far from your resort.

The sand is soft and white. Small waves, this beach is clean and very good for young kids.
The water was very warm even in december.
