“Bad First Impressions, Hotel needs to vastly Improve”
Reviewed June 17, 2013 via mobile

Myself and my mum booked a 'special' break together or so we had anticipated but were severely let down on arrival. In 30 years of holidays never have we booked a hotel to turn up and be told it is fully booked and then receive awful customer service from a variety of different reception staff. We arrived at 3am to then be taken in the reception staffs own beat up old vauxhall after shoving our cases in the back ( the boot didn't even close) the car was full of food wrappers and taken to a basic self catering apartment, we even had to ask twice for some water as they would if just left us!!! Only a double bed was in there so I had to stay on a rock hard sofa itch a very thin sheet over the top of me we had no idea when we would get a room, we called to get picked up the next morning only to be told on arrival they are still fully booked so told to go to breakfast and basically keep going back to reception to check when a room would be free. We were disgusted this is NOT a five star service, a manager looking woman came out when I was clearly dismayed and said I
She could arrange a massage, was she taking the mick....? I told her we wanted a room not a massage then she just walked off and left us standing in reception and the other girl started serving someone else..... Then we pulled out what we needed from our cases that were left in reception (didn't even put them in a luggage room) and went by the pool, after a further few visits ( no one came to find us and tell us a room was ready) we finally got a room At lunch time but no apology, no compensation, nothing!!!! Now considering the hotel itself is set in a beautiful area and all the communal areas of the hotel are beautiful and impressive our hopes for the room were the same but we thought we had gone through a door to another hotel as the room was of a totally different standard (see pictures) tiny, tired, hair dryer melted beyond use, exposed fuse cabinet, air conditioning didn't work, two plugs didn't work, but the beds and pillows were very comfortable and views fantastic. I just have no idea how and what makes this a 5* hotel, the money it saves on NO entertainment surely should allow for a refurb of the rooms?. The gym was spit and saw dust with no treadmills as shown and ripped mats. This hotel is more like a retreat as no where to walk to unless you like tat and rip off fakes, no local rustic Turkish it's all man made shops for the tourist, as for the beach...... Full of families using and skiing up all the seating areas and beds?.... Thought this was a adult only hotel? They even got served at the small beach hut that was providing the food and drinks. The saving grace of this hotel was the restaurant staff who worked so hard and such long hours they were brilliant and also the setting the scenery is amazing. We love our holidays And have obviously been very lucky in the past as this was our first bad experience and it felt like a very long week! To sum it up I would say you know when you get hotels that think of everything, well this one has thought if nothing and outs no effort in whatsoever! We stayed at a 4* at goynuk in September and that was far superior to the Alinn!!

We went on a family holiday from the 27th May for one week, myself 25 and my brother 21 with our parents, we had a lovely holiday and will more than likely return next year!
Right where to start, on arrival we checked in and they did not have the two twin rooms next door to each other that we booked, so we were asked if we would mind staying in a suite for one night under the pool as the hotel was fully booked, we agreed so the next day we checked out of the suite ready to be checked into our new rooms, these were on the 5th floor with an AMAZING sea view! Perfect 503 and 505 not next door but close enough and for our hassle the manager gave us all a free spa treatment, which was beautiful! The size of the rooms is fine and they are very comfortable, with free air conditioning! Added bonus!
The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, the grounds are maintained to a very high standard. The restraunt is sutuated in a lovely spot next to one of the two swimming pools with covered outdoor seating which is perfect, the food was ok, loads of fresh salads and freshly baked bread and the deserts were nice too, however the main courses were the downfall no real signs telling you what it was and they did not look appetising I had a flat bread every lunch and dinner an omelette every breakfast and something off the BBQ for dinner! The Al a Carte is offered at the panorama bar 3 days a week which is a 6 course fish menu, as soon as you are seated the food starts flowing very nice but fish only! this can be booked at reception at NO extra cost.Put it this way you would not starve!
The staff were very friendly however there English is poor especially at reception! Iylmaz one of the waiters was very friendly and super at his job, and Charlotte from the panorama bar was also excellent remembering every drink and always happy no matter how many hours she had been working! The music is selected by management as it is there I pod Charlotte just makes the choice from what she has been given! The photographer can be a bit of a pest but we did buy a couple of really nice family pictures in the end. The entertainment is very lacking there is some Turkish dancers on a Saturday night who dance round the pool near the restraunt and there is stretching, aqua aerobics and water polo ran through
the day by two girls from the hotel. There is free wi fi available in the lounge downstairs very useful. However I do feel this hotel would benefit from some evening entertainment! The local village is nice and about 20mins walk down the big hill or £4 in a taxi, the Dolphin restraunt is lovely food and very good value for money! Half way down the street on the right. There is a market on a Sunday which was great fun and we got some real bargains too, but remember really haggle, what ever price they start on half it and you start from there, they will take any currency euro, sterling or Turkish lira. The bus to the beach is great and very reliable the beach is clean and tidy and the beach bar is fine serving a ham/ cheese roll also on some days there is a pancake lady serving some kind of cheese and veg filled pancakes lovely though, the reason the private beach section is do busy and has children is because the Allin as two sister hotels in the village the Allin boutique and the Allin club, only the Allin boutique is adult only so do expect it to be busy and have children there, we went two days and really enjoyed the beach. There are some improvements this hotel needs to make but overall we had a lovely family holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When I checked this place before going it was listed as the 2nd best place to stay. For me and my partner it was much better that staying in the Hilton. The views from the terrace bar (or Charlotte's bar) could not be beaten. The staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel was quiet and the lack of children and the concomitant stressed parents meant we had a very relaxing holiday.
The range of food may not be to everyone's taste but we loved it, good fresh food.
I would be very happy to return especially if I get as good a deal as I got this time.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the hotel Alinn, our room was below the swimming pool and clean tidy and comfortable, the in room safe had a fault which i reported the first day we were there it was never rectified. Now lets get onto the subject of food, when abroad we expect to eat as per the locals and do not mind experiancing different foods, however the food at the Alinn leaves a whole lot to be desired, the menus never really varied and dinner was often a rework of lunch, carrots for breakfast was a first to us. the puddings were very much the same every lunch and dinner mousse, sponge, along with a basic selection of fresh fruit usually melon, apples and pears occasionaly an orange.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss the omelette bar was ok but usually very busy and resulting in a wait of several minutes, the fruit juice was more like squash and certanly not fresh juice. at lunch and dinner they had an area set aside serving fresh baked flatbreads with various fillings these were very good, the salad was always fresh and quite nice. at night they usually had a BBQ running but this was so busy it resulted in a wait of many minutes to get served not good. now the drinks the alchahol was of very poor quality and the selection limited, with beer being pre poored and left to sit in the fridgein a glass for who knows how long when it was served it was flat, the same applies to wine it was pre poored and held in the fridge, the bar continually ran out of soft drinks and the mixer dispenser left a whole lot to be desired.now lets talk about the staff, if you were female and single you would get instant attention from as many waiters as you like if you were a couple as we were forget it, now i know this is what the waiters do but boy these guys took it to extremes, as for the photographer he was unbelivable with his antics and chasing single ladies. the panoramic bar what a place with a stunning view, totally ruined by the wrong music being played to loud, ok maybe this is our opinion on the type of music but when sitting having a quite drink admiring the view do you really want loud club type music thumping out the base so you cant talk above it ? i dont, i did complain but again my complaint was ignored, it would appear that the music was played by Charlotte who everybody raves about, she was simply doing her job but with the added bonus of being aloud to play her music and not what the guest want to hear. We witnessed the alacarte dining which you pay extra for at the panoramic bar all tables were empty and vacated except for one where a family were enjoying a relaxing after dinner drink, the head waiter talked to Charlotte 20 seconds later the music was thumping and the family vactaed the waiters were able to pack up and go home. The private beach was not private we were on the first bus down to the beach in ten in the morning when we got there at 5 past ten all the Hotel alinn sunbeds were full, being used by families from other hotels the beach is not private, as for the snack bar it appeared it was serving anybody free food and drink, children were getting free soft drinks the Alinn is a child free hotel, this is not a private beach at all. The whole all inclusive package was lacking if you wanted a ice cream whilst sitting beside the pool you had to pay for it. all in all it would appear the Alinn is being run on a shoestring and standards are way below what you expect for the price we payed. we were very dissappointed and would never go back. our holiday was booked through flexible tours via Thomas Cook i believe they rated the hotel as 4 star i my opinion it would struggle to hold two stars.

I wholly agree with the review from AshandPenny having just returned from a week there. We found it very hard communicating with the Reception staff whose English was very limited. The rooms were compact but adequate but the balcony was pretty useless - 2 chairs and it was full! You couldn't sit out on it because you had to navigate the insect door which opened outwards and squashed the chairs - pointless. It even had a pull out washing line, but how on earth you were supposed to use it was beyond us! To secure a sunbed around the pool we had to have our towels out there by 7.30 in the morning and there didn't seem to be enough beds for the number of guests staying. The food improved as the week went on, but we believe this was due to a number of complaints that we heard were made. Unfortunately the restaurant staff didn't improve, resulting in it being quicker to get your drinks before sitting down to your meal, rather then waiting for them to come around and ask you.
We were very disappointed in the beach, believing it to be an exclusive part for Alinn guests - not so. There were families all around us! If you wait for the first shuttle bus of the morning (10 am) to take you down, then you will struggle to find sunbeds AND you have no chance of getting one with a cushion, these were even rarer!!
The Panorama bar was lovely, stunning views and Carla was lovely.
On the whole, we went for a relaxing week in the sun and that is what we got. It would have been nice to of had some sort of "low key" entertainment in the evening, because unless you went into the village, there wasn't anything much to do. Personally I wouldn't rate this as a 4 star, more a 3.

This is the first review I have written but feel its about time a genuine and honest view was posted about this hotel.

We spent ten nights here from the 27th May to 6th June and although we enjoyed our stay feel that some of this hotels reviews just dont give potential guests correct information. I accept that this is a personal opinion but hope to give you the chance to make a more informed choice.

Right so we arrived in the early hours of the morning on the 28th having made drops at the Suntopia and Holiday Village which looked welcoming with bright receptions and plenty of staff on hand to help their new guests. The Alinn looked closed with no lights on outside and one night porter inside. We like another reviewer had booked late and indeed were put in a suite below the pool terrace (603). The room itself had been recently decorated and at 2 in the morning seemed fine. Closer inspection in the morning showed the tv didnt work, the light in the bathroom was broken, the mini fridge was not working and the shower tray leaked badly. These I reported to reception but only got resolved 5 days later after having to get increasingly firm with the duty managers.

The food is something which makes me even question if some of the reviews are in fact genuine and not fabricated by the hotel. I am NOT someone who wants English food when abroad I want to be able to taste local cuisine. I have read many reviews saying the food is excellent ....on two separate nights we had dishes called white beans in a tomato sauce or red beans....now I'm no snob but I will let you decide as to whether or not Baked Beans qualify as excellent food ? Similarly one evening we had jacket potatoes ....lunch time maybe but evening ?

Without fail every dinner was a rehashed version of lunch with maybe one or two different dishes, the mash potato was instant and the salad options although plentiful were the same our entire stay.

Breakfast is the standard fruits jams honeys and cereals with luke warm scrambled eggs etc. There is one chef cooking omelettes but the queue can get long. One morning we had a dish full of the previous nights carrots sliced and deep fried ? Excellent. ...you decide ?

At lunch you can also get turkish pizzas and pasta as indeed you can in the evening. There is a bbq chef in the evenings who prepares fish and either chicken or kebabs. These are great but on a number of nights the selection available inside in the servery had NO meat or fish dishes meaning the queue was sometimes 15 - 20mins.

Desserts. I read a review which said they were the best the reviewer had eaten at any AI hotel ......I can only thank myself lucky to have never been to the hotels they have stayed in before !!!!! Every lunch and dinner was the same selection of angel delight type mousses, cold rice puddings and sickly sweet sponge based desserts. The only saving grace was the fresh melon.

The location of the hotel affords it fabulous views over Sarigerme beach and the grounds and pool area are lovely. A hotel shuttle bus runs on the hour to take hotel guests to the beach where Alinn guests have use of a rather dilapidated hut serving drinks and light snacks at lunchtime. The beach is NOT private in any way. The Sarigerme beach is a public beach, there were non Alinn guests using the drinks hut and lots of children using the supposed Alinn hotel facilities. This is fine but dont mislead people about the service being offered.

One very important positive at the Alinn was the Panorama bar and only then when being run by the fantastic Carla ( pronounced charla ....previously referred to as Charlotte). The hotel really should realise just how good she is at her job, remembering all guests drinks and always with a smile on her face no matter how adverse the conditions for the staff appeared to be.

So....the Alinn Boutique appears to be a hotel that in the past had been fantastic but the senior management now are seemingly cutting costs everywhere and despite the best efforts of the front line staff the cracks are very much showing through. I cannot honestly recommend the hotel if you are expecting a faultless holiday as other reviews are suggesting you will have as in my opinion you won't - however if you take those ridiculous rose tinted spectacles off, get a good deal and just want a week away from it all then the Alinn coud be for you.

Just got back from a lovely relaxing week at the Alinn Boutique. The hotel.itself was lovely with some very good staff (especially Charlotte and Gillmaz). We arrived in the early hours to be greeted at reception by a young male who did not speak a lot of English and left us a little bewildered. Another male who did not speak English at all then took us to our room. At this point I was a.little confused as we left the hotel and were taken to our room at the bottom of the pool area. Here we were placed in a suite! ( not what we booked),we booked the hotel, beware late booking as I think they place you in these rooms. These rooms are very big but a bit tired. The bathroom in particular needs a revamp. The tv was old style and took 4 of our 7days to get fixed. The most annoying thing was reception stating that they would ring me back and not doing it (even lying by stating they had), there was only one key so i had to wait in room but no-one came . The hotel and grounds are lovely though the staff are very friendly, this was my first visit to Turkey and I was not disappointed. The food was very good and plenty of it. There was show cooking and a flatbread man at lunch and evening omelates in the mornings. The holiday is so RELAXING being adult only but could benefit from evening entertainment. There were lots of repeat visitors who loved the hotel but we're thinking of moving elsewhere next year due to the lack of entertainment. The village is 15minutes walk down the mountain road (hard walk back but manageable). Very quaint with shops bars and restaurants and a market on Sundays. Currency in the village - anything lira euros sterling. This hotel gives very good value for money excellent surroundings and overall good staff in the bars and restaurants the views are second to none just a shame we didn't get the room we booked! We felt a little separate to the hotel. Guests in the hotel got a welcome gift of wine and fruit-we didn't!! We're there for our silver wedding anniversary which would have been so much better had we got the room we booked!!. Nevertheless I would consider going back to this hotel again despite the problems we experienced this I overall a lovely place with some very good staff who became friends over the short time we were there.
