This was our 2nd holiday at the Holiday Village Sarigerme and we had all had fab time.

Stayed for 2 weeks from 21st June, was very hot (little cooler then last yr as we went 2 weeks earlier) but every day perfect weather. The first week didn't seem as busy and that was nice, although still need to be up before 7am for sunbeds!

The hotel has improved on lots of little things from last yr, which was nice to see. Cutlery stands on tables so no waiting for knives and forks, more choice of food (which i didn't think was possible) BBQ opened at night so gave another option to eat at, Restaurant booking system all done by yourself on a computer in reception which was great and easy to use.

Last year we didn't have any bad points, this yr there were afew little things (didnt really affect our hol):
First Choice Reps didn't seem that happy to be there, especially the swim academy staff. One lady put my daughter off swimming for the first 5 days of the hol! Last yr they were excellent but this time they were far too hard on the little ones. My daughter is 4 and has lessons at home, but being thrown in, swallowing water and being told to 'stop that noise' isnt acceptable! We paid for 5 lessons but only went to 2 as it was to upsetting for her.

Entertainment on changeover day was non existent! Most other nights it was good for the kids, and thats the main thing, Big thank you to Barlow, Smithy, Carlene and PJ who worked non stop to entertain the kids and adults though, they were great.
Chill out bar got quite full and people had to walk out due to no seating which again is a shame.
Adult bar was a good laugh, Kids clubs were great, Pre book for certain things (like chocolate party) which I would recommend or the queues are a nightmare!

Food was lovely, Lunch time there was a massive choice, For kids it was abit 'samey' but they can have whatever they like from the adult section to. Staff work very hard to keep everywhere spotless, Our room was cleaned every single day, Book a suite, well worth it.

'Recep' the facilities manager was lovely, we stayed around the private pools alot (nr the suites) and he came round every day to ask if we needed anything, bring beers! and see what could be improved, nice to see someone so passionate about the hotel.

The shops in hotel are a little more expensive so take a trip into Sarigerme for some bargains, (less than £4 in taxi) We also found a bar 'Street Bar' in town, was great to spend an afternoon away from hotel, has its own pool, cocktails, Proper pints of beer and lovely food! Highly recommended.
For day trips use Basket Travel, We have done 6 trips with them and each time, perfect! Jeep safari is a must!

Would avoid the hotel hairdressers, really disappointed this year with that, my daughter wanted her hair plaited again, last yr i think we paid about £24 , this time they asked for £30, which no probs, we're on holiday. But when the women started doing her hair (she didnt speak english) so she got the man who works there to tell me it would be £50!! I don't pay that for my own hair so I told her to stop as I am not paying that for a 4 yr olds hair! They tried to haggle with me for the price but i refused to pay anymore, after 2 days the front plaits fell out, the staff ignored me when i went back, until the customer in front had left, then redid the plaits that came out for free, Not the best service and dont like to be ripped off especially in the hotel we are staying.
Again, it didn't affect the holiday, and we all had a lovely time, we wouldn't go back again next yr as we've been 2 years running, but we may revisit in afew yrs time.

Room Tip: Book a suite - quieter and nr private pools

We had a great time, loved the food and the entertainment. Pancakes and the ice creams are the best!! Also eat lunch at the chillout bar as not as busy as snack bar. Definitely visit the jewellers in the hotel, we got our wedding rings from there, so gorgeous and much cheaper than uk.

Excellent family holiday, plenty activities going on all day for every age group, entertainment team were different class. So friendly and made everyone feel special, especially smithy, pj and carlene♥. Food was good, sometimes a bit repetitive but always something to have! Rooms were basic but very clean! Overall an excellent place to go, would def recommend.

We have just returned last night and had a fantastic time, this was our first time to Turkey and we loved it. The hotel was always clean, the food was lovely, always something nice from roast chicken to kebabs and pasta. The entertainment team are great, Smithy especially. Our kids loved kids club with plenty to do and they had a soft spot for Miles but they were all fab. A special thanks to the ladies in the jewellers who helped my husband choose a beautiful eternity ring at a fraction of the cost of the UK so definitely worth a look. Overall we had a brilliant time and will be returning next year.

We have just returned back from 7days at the resort. You cannot fault the facilities for the kids... There were 2 things that spoilt it and are as follows.... Arrived at resort at 02.30 checked in and bags were taken to the room, room was clean and presented nice with flower petals on the main bed. When you check in you have to leave your passports with them and collect the next day. Got a phone call from reception around 5pm to come and collect only to be told that we had been put in the wrong room!! After some lengthy discussion between the first choice rep and hotel management we was told we had to move as we was not in a family room like we booked but had been out in a spa sweet! When we moved the only difference was as jaquizzi bath!

Now for the biggy.... Unless you get up at 4.45AM to put your towel out by 7am you won't get a sunbed ! Appparent there is a 8am rule but if you wait till then you have no chance. Complained to reps and hotel but not interested ...

Apart from that its a massive place with excellent facilities...

We have been here for a week... And if in honest when I first read about the place we said. "We have never seen a hotel have reviews that go from 1 star to 5 stars!" Now It's 5 stars or at least on route to that. The food is fantastic, the waiters and waitresses clean the tables faster then you can eat your food, the pools are vast, loads of sun beds (yes we are worse then the Germans) the staff love your kids. We really can not fault the place. Wonderfully kid orientated, the entertaining team here live to serve their one job role and that's to keep your little ones entertained... They do a grand job, room wise well it's a little dated, think premiere/ travel lodge. But to be honest your in here for a couple of hours a day. The pools are clean and constantly kept clean. Just a really nice place.

The Holiday Village at Sarigerme is probably one of the best I have visited with my Grand Children on a number of points;Accomodation, Cleanliness, quality of food, staff on site very attentive, attractions and entertainment for children of all ages, number of pools to visit, safety pool attendants at all pools and a good number of bars to suit most people.

Downsides would be when your luggage is delivered to your room the staff stand and wait until you tip them whether you want to or not!!!!!!!

Should you wish to get a bed at the side of the pool it would appear that if you are not at the pool 'Booking' your bed by 6am'ish you may not get a bed at the main pool, nuts!!!!! and they were the Brits. So much for castigating the Germans!!

One man full of drink heading for the pool at 13.30am to book his bed!

Thomsons need to sort this as it is farsical to have to get up at that time of the morning to get a bed at the pool. On other occasions people booking beds at the pool when they are going on a trip, get back mid afternoon, towels should be removed by staff if placed before a reasonable time. We removed 1 towel for a child to sleep on the bed and when family returned requested their bed back although they had been on a trip and this was 2.30 in the afternoon so bed was returned and they used it for 1 hr max Not the only case unfortunately
The only other negative observation was the buffet area where all the children were running back and forward in hot food areas and staff did nothing to stop the children running or carrying hot drinks resulting in 1 wee lad getting burned carrying a glass of hot chocolate while parents eating their breakfasrt were paying not a blind bit of attention.

Room Tip: ask for a suite and you have a door to the path and garden areas
