This is very, very nice small hotel in the middle of Ouranoupoli. We expected it to be nice, but we liked it much more. The hygiene is on very high level, every day when you get back to your room, everything shines :) There is no luxury,of course, but you have a great seaview and sunset view. The only problem is parking place, but it is like that mostly in Greece if youre staying inside the town. The church tower is near your room and you will hear the bells early in the morning, but if you are traveling to Ouranoupoli, I guess you will expect something like this and it is part of its spirit. Very colorful place and very sweet hotel in quiet street and again so close to urban part of town.

After a long scenic journey from the airport you arrive in Ouranoupolis Village ~ so beautiful. On arrival at The Makedonia Hotel you are given a really warm welcome ~ feel as though you are at Home. Nothing to much trouble. Any information required is at hand. The Hotel is ideally situated a few minutes walk to the fantastic beach and Harbour. Very clean and comfortable. Stellios takes great pride in his Hotel ~ would certainly return again ~ Thankyou.

I stay one night at that hotel because the next day I had to visit the island Amuliani. The price was really reasonable and the room was renovated, very clean and comfortable. Really close to the center of the village (only 3 minutes walking).
The owner (Mr. Stellios) was a really gentle person and give all the necessary information for the village and we spent a great evening. I recommend for families and couples.
Good Hospitality.

If you are looking for a thoroughly clean and off the beaten path hotel in ouranapolis then this is your place. the owner is very efficient and helpful with your plans while there including assistance with access and bookings on mt athos. the breakfast, the air-conditioning units and the linens are all good quality.

Oh, and if you are looking for a taxi transport to/from ouranopolis then I would suggest Makis. he's a nice guy and will provide you with interesting information about the area. just ask Stelios (hotel owner) to set you up with his service. He'll drive you in from Thessaloniki too.
