“A WELCOME POOL AREA”
Reviewed August 22, 2011

We knew the hotel premises from the past, since we spent our family summer holidays there, 10 years ago! At that time our son was about 1 year old and we had a nice time staying there as the hotel provided many services for families with babies. The only difficulty that still remains is that the hotel is built on a slope, so you have to climb onwards in order to return to your room. When you carry a baby in your arms, believe me it is not easy at all !

This time we visited and spent our day at the pool area, on a day visit for swimming at the piscine, together tih friends and our (now) 2 children aged 10 & 9 .The place provides both a normal sized and a baby pool, a quite environment, a nice bar-restaurant with a convenient shadowy corner, good sevice, good food at reasonable prices.

We all enjoyed our staying there, even for a single day, and look forward to visit it again!

Hotel has its own beach where you have to go through tunnel bellow the road to reach it. Beach is OK, but has to be more cleaner [cigars specially], but I blame more tourists then stuff. The pool is quiet OK and even more worm then it should be. Tennis court is the mess, but you can play few games for sure.
We had the room just close to the water toboggan and the doors was not so good locking.
Parking is difficult in the season.
Food is OK, but also can be more meals to choose, specially on breakfast.

Room Tip: The best rooms are closer to the beach.

As I write already-we love the holidayl,but...but depends what you expect from your holiday.I want to relax, to swim and to read.Because of that,I preferred to rest in hotels which are on the beach...This one is close to sea,but not on the beach. The road separates it from sea,but the good underpass served well.
The problem is distance from the room to the sea. When we came I gave the voucher to the girl at the reception. She was so polite and gave us the room 421 with explanation that the bellboy will take us there. When we get out from the reception the boy kindly asked us to go with the car to our room...ops...we already were so high,so the surprise was so big.O,no way This is not I used to pay for.I do not want to climb up in the mountain everiday. So I turn back again at the reception desk and asked what is wrong. They explain given to me was that rooms which are closed to beach are superior, apartments or studio...So the problem were travel agency in Macedonia who never explain the things right.I was so angry,I call mu travel agent and soon we were relocated in room 711- studio which was really better than the standard one and close to beach. So no need for hitchhikers activitis.
But the story just begin. The shocked came latter when we were told that the water slides are not free, that we were supposed to pay 6 euro for person/per day.Robbery...
If you thing that this end you are wrong...Do you know when the room mate clean our room-at 06.00 pm,just on time to have shower for diner. At least she did that every day.
The meal were repetitive, but disent...We have been to even worst hotels in Greece when meals are point of interest.
The beach is ok and the sea is beautiful.

Room Tip: Ask for apartments, studio or superior room if you wish to be close to sea...

Me and my wife stayed there a week in a big room. Price had the value of our stay, we must say.
Our view was very nice and direct from balcony to Sithonia and the local islands.
The bars and pools were great but both enjoyed most the spa and the beach.
Food was quite good, and breakfast had the variety that should have.
Personal was very friendly and willing, and everything was really clean.

Food was below average, with overbaked croissantes, nutella very close to the expiry date and solid and half of the coffees available, room service was awful since we waited half an hour for 3 toasts to call at the bar and hear that they have forgotten our room number and wait for another half an hour and receive them, indoor pool was closed because they did not matter doing maintance jobs...

I really liked the hotel, The staff were really nice. They have a range of rooms to meet every budget. I stayed 2 nights. 1st Night I booked the 28 euro room. This room is up stairs behind the hotel. The room was basic, but very clean, with TV, Hot water, Air-conditioning (or heater) I was very satisfied. I was hiking on Mt. Athos so I stayed a 2nd night on my return and staying on one of the rooms in front of the hotel. It was enormous with amazing view. There were 2 beds and sofa bed, so in summer I presume ideal for family. Food in Hotel was excellent. Most important staff were very helpful. All the hotel was clean. I would recommend anyone going to Mt. Athos to staff at the hotel, Manager will organise to take you to the port the morning of your departure.

Room Tip: Call the hotel.
