“Really good!”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

I went to Paliuri back in August 08. First of all, when we went to the beach it was very crowded, loud music(techno, house) so we decided to go back to our room and tomorrow we went to another beach which was 15 minute drive away ( the road was very rocky) and when we got there ( kind of hard to find) it was well worth it.The beach was so nice, we ended up going there every day. About the hotel, we had all-inclusive, the food was very nice. The hotel offers many diverse activities, also is very beautiful with amazing gardens.

We decided to avoid July high temperatures and we arrived from Belgrade via Thessaloniki to Chrousso Village resort on June 28th. The receptionist was busy, even overwhelmed with calls, but she managed to explain all the important bits and gave us a shortlist of happenings - time-plan, mostly regarding restaurant. We had to sort ourselves with transporting luggage.
SERVICE: It was OK, a bit problematic at certain time in restaurant, but bearable. It was not typical Greek hospitality, though (is this a myth now, as I remember some 30+ years back?). The photographer takes pictures, whether you like it or not, but he is not too pushy about it. We had a small health issue resulting in mess on the floor, but they were forthcoming in providing cleaning solvents and tools, as the cleaning lady was not present the whole day.
FOOD: It was good, usual Greek family hotel type, always a Greek specialty, plenty of pasta, fried potatoes, pizza. The salad bar was good, but, sometimes they did not manage to keep it supplied. Deserts we nothing special, traditional Greek, again and jelly ones as well. There was fruit, but one or two kinds at best and not always in appropriate quantities. It looked like they did not want to replenish the tables if it was less than half an hour to the end of the meal time. Lunch was mainly fried and raw vegetables with minced meat. Ice cream was available, but the line was forming rather quickly.
BEACH: Well, this was the greatest disappointment, it is 400m from the hotel, as it is stated on the site, but this is through unpaved, rather uneven and broken walkway. There are bushes and trees on both sides of it, and it is not the best way to go to the beach, especially with a push chair for the young one. We used a car for a 1km trip to the beach using tarmac and unpaved road. There was plenty of shade for the car, under trees, provided that you come early in the day. This thought us that we can do more with young kids. Too late, I guess, but who knows. The beach is fabulous, sunbeds and umbrellas (straws, not plastic ones) are cheaper for hotel visitors in the area just in front of it. The sand is fine one and both our kids enjoyed it very much. The water is shallow, this is a part of a large bay, unofficially called Blue Fish. This was a blue flag beach, but in the past. There were no showers on the beach, no toilette and no running water, except in the caffes and bars. The music on the beach was appropriate and one could find something for everyone.

It is a beautifull place in the forest. Clean and the stuff is wery kind and helpful. Area nad rooms olso clean and quiet.Wery good relax place. The life at night is leaving by pool, fryday and saturday night have programs. 8live music, barbeque, etc)
The food is excelent always.
For the children this place is optimal. The animators is wery tolerance and kind.
The beac is 975m from the hotel!!!! Believe me! (other place u can read on internet: it is 600 or 800 m.NO! I measured the distance!!!)
If u can choos bilding, don'4 choose 26. There is not working phone, and it is a litle bit separated place. For example if u want to go to eat you mast walking ~250m.
Scuba diing center is next to hotel. The beach is sany and BLUE FLAG. And if u like rocks, when u going to down to the beach on the "main" road, turn right when u see the table"Porto Valitsa". The road is goin to up, but if u walking there ~400 m, u will see a wery picturesque beach. U can climbing on roks.U can diving, u can swimming, u can bee alone... And u can do wery nice pictures.
Paliouri is the next willage, but is is a die willage. If u torning on the main road in right, Pefkochori is ~10 km. This place is good for shopping, and ther is many bars, restaurants, live music, and shops. There is a pet shop, where u can buy worms for fishing, and everything what is neet tho fishing.)
The bars in hotel is close pm11. Barmans is kind but dont want makeing close kontakt with guests.

The hotel is really suited to kids, there are 2 or 3 playground, inflatable jumping stuff, mini disco in the evening. When we sat at the bar in the evening to have a drink we didn't see our kids for hours:)

The all inclusive program is ok, only it doesn't include the beach. We went by car to the beach, many other people walked, the path to the beach is ok,The beach itself at Chrousso bay is Wonderful!!!! Maybe one of the best beaches in kassandra.

Food is varied enough, with adequate quality. Desserts however were non-existent, only some cut up peaches and sometimes grapes (not the good kind), and always jelly?!?

I definitely recommend this place for a family holiday with kids. Try to get a room at a building closer to the main restaurant if possible, some buildings were further away, however they were quieter at night. The beds are a bit old and the mattresses bumpy, at least in our room.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep early in the evening or late in the morning get a room on the far upper side, i...

It is a fantastic hotel, suitable for kids! There are playgrounds, mini disco every night and extra happenings. Trees and grass and flowers all over the place. You can leave your child play all around whithout worrying all the time
It is very clean, although the bathrooms need a renovation.
Food is nice, and the staff is very helpfull
I recomend it for family vacations with children

Room Tip: If you have small kids (2-4 yrs) ask for a room at ground level
