I must admit I'm really satisfied with the hotel placement, transportation, room, food and staff (especially animation team!) and any other aspect of this wonderful place. I would definitely recommend going there to vacation with friends or family. Also sending best wishes to the greatest animators - Julia and Rania!

Ten nights in halkidikis large hotel sithonia. A very enjoyable holiday which was made by the very helpful evi and nikos of porto carras reservations.

Casino; free entry on the first visit, smokey atmosphere, not clear on how to get your winnings back but friendly assistance to help.

Room: recieved an upgrade to family room with sea view thanks to nikos. Bed very comfortable, sheets cleaned, view was gorgoues and shower water always warm. Downside only two bottles of water given free for your entire stay. So we kept the plastic bottles and filled them up at the bar areas. After all shouldn't be charging 3 euros for bottled water when all inclusive. I can see how the hotel make extra money on unclear rules of the all inclusive. Room had its very own WiFi portal so we could stream films, you tube and we even booked our next holiday from the excellent connection. Outside room very unreliable connection. Not a lot of draws but very big double wardrobe with hangers which sufficed. Maids could have swept and cleaned floor as feet often got filthy after showering.

Grounds: beautiful with sun setting in the sea. You can walk to the marina in ten minutes and the nearest town was a short walk across the beach. Sea was warm and clear. Very calm on some days and barely wavy on windy days. Beach is shingle and hurts feet. Beach volleyball and water sports. Lagomandra beach ten minutes drive away had good jet skis for less money.

Weather in last two weeks June was 36c most days with full sun, one rain shower /thunder storm

Staff: very unhelpful until we made a complaint to nikos in reservations. Who put us in touch with evi and she looked after us the whole time. Don't bother speaking to reception only speak to evi at guest relations as the others seemed useless and often rude. Evi Booked us in to the dine around program so that we had use to all the alacarte restaurants unlimited. The rest of the staff didn't have a clue of the pricing to late check out, had no clue about why things were not working or closed. Their English we didn't expect to be brilliant but it was most likely due to the majority of guests being polish, Russian or Bulgarian. As we didn't have children we didn't really watch the entertainment so cannot comment on the staff here.

Sunbeds: shortage of sun beds around the pool area, beach had lots but they were all reserved with towels which was not allowed by management but management was not present and it was not in force. We found it took a good half hour scanning sunbeds to use every day however this resulted in most being broken which was a shame.

Mediterranean restaurant was the main restaurant and was really a stressful experience. Not by the quality of food or by the volume but by the lack of control over the sheer volume of guests. They had regular fresh pizza served lunch and dinner but as your queuing some one pushes in takes the whole pizza and your waiting for the next one to come out. A wait of ten to fifteen minutes waiting on fresh pizza, no control from the cook over how many slices one person can take or not enough cooking stations for the amount of people which is a shame.

The atmosphere of unruly children running around, taking five or six ice-cream cones for themselves where the parents were no where to be seen. I think if there was better control over staffing in the hotel restaurant then this may have made the restaurant a more enjoyable time. Saying that the only food that we ever experienced was cold here.

The other alacarte restaurant were perfect, hot meals, not fighting over food and waitor service so this really turned our holiday around.

All inclusive : we were premium all inclusive which included white and red wine, beer, brut, Vodka, gin and other cheap alcohol. Unfortunately for me I was not keen on the white wine it was too sweet for me. Normally premium inclusive would mean one alacarte dinner for the entire stay and then if you wanted to eat for a second time you get a 33% discount. Complain if you cannot put up with the main hectic stressful environment of the only one restaurant. The alacarte restaurants were brilliant but do not think you can upgrade to these unlimited as they were only half full the entire time we were there. It was only due to our complaint of non hot food that we had this offered to us.

I would return to halkidiki again as this peninsula was naturally beautiful. So many beaches to choose from definitely hire a car as this worked out so cheap and meant that every day for us was an adventure. Porto carras has secluded beaches within walking distance of 15 mins and we had a very own beach to ourselves this way. All shingle, small stones though and not powdered sand. Powder sand can be found at kefalos beach which was stunning and the near by village of vourvourou was host to many lovely restaurants including our favorite Anchor bar which had a very sweet owner who was proud of his food.

Want to say a huge massive thank you to nikos who made our stay perfect on our special occasion.

Great food, great pools, if there was a discount on every bar of the resort, in both hotels it would be a utopian land! Totally recommended for families and people who want to enjoy an originally natural landscape. With a few renovations there would be no comparison to any other hotel in Halkidiki.

Room tip: Rooms with sea view are the best!
