I spent five days,in june,in this lovely hotel and i can say that i got more than i had expected.Nice, spacious and clean room with fantastic view and smell of pine trees.Food was prety good specialy breakfast. We came by car so we had opportunity to visit that beach in Kalithea which is much better than that one near hotel. My advice is if you choose h. Alkion come by car or rent one.Anyway,as i said good value for your money.

Very nice hotel. We'd got exactly what we wanted to get - big clean room, big green and well-attended territory, friendly staff and very tasty food. The sea view from hotel (especialy during sunrise) is fantastic. Good hotel for his price.

Just returned from a 2 week HB holiday at this hotel. Rooms are basic but they are kept lovely and clean. The food was nice, always a choice. The hotel staff were also very friendly. We went down to the beach on the free bus from hotel, it is a really steep hill. Beach was nice and clean. 2 sunbeds and umberella was 4 euros all day. We went on this holiday with an open mind but all i can say is it was excellent and very relaxing. We got the local bus in to Haniotti it only cost 8 euros return. Would not reccomend taking teenagers to this hotel as they could get bored as there is nothing to do. Go to the Casablanca for a drink at the top of the hill the owners Debbie and her family are fab always make you feel welcome and they do a fab breakfast.Definitely will return to the Alkion.

Just returned from a very nice holiday spent at Alkion hotel. We stayed in this hotel for 5 days. About the hotel: very clean rooms with nice view over the pool or the sea, excellent food (the pack we had was HB), the coffee was very good. This is the second time in Halkididki and, if I will come back, I will definitely stay at Alkion. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone especially for families or people who want a relaxing holiday in a beautiful landscape.

Hotel - Very pleasant. Nice family feel to the place, bar staff are real characters and there is a good pool bar which offers decent drinks and snacks. The gardens are really well looked after.

Pool - Lovely, very clean, quiet, lots of sunbeds.

Room - Good size for myself, wife and our daughter. Simple but nice and tidy, little balcony at the rear with lovely views over the grounds. As we had to be in our room each night with our little one, if we were to go again we would ensure we had a room with a balcony that looked over the pool / bar for a little entertainment in the evenings.

Resort - Kriopigi is on quite a busy main road which is a little dusty/dirty like most Greek towns. There are a number of decent places to eat each night and if you go looking into the village a bit you can find some real gems.

The beach is very nice, down a very steep hill which was an interesting challenge with a 2 yr old and all the required beach equipment!! There is a little train service that was a welcome relief on the return journey! The beach does lose the sun quite early due to the cliff.

Best thing we did was hire a car and go exploring. On the next peninsulas are some wonderful unspoilt spots.

Kriopigi and Alkion was a lovely base from which to explore from.
