What a beautiful week away to celebrate our 1st year Wedding anniversary!
Achtis is a wonderful treasure set in the sun. Magda and her team of excellent staff are fantastic and make you feel like you are one of their family members. Whilst expecting our first baby, Magda was so attentive and friendly, always making sure myself and my husband were comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious food with a lovely and calm atmosphere over looking the stunning pool.

I can not recommend Achtis highly enough and would visit again in a heart beat.

Thank you Magda for being the wonderful person that you are.

Room Tip: They all over look the pool, so any is great!

Dropped off by cab to be greeted by a rather drab looking hotel on a busy main road. Thought we'd arrived at the wrong place until we walked through the gate into the hotel pool area and were greeted by the most georgeous looking area full of flowers, beautiful pool and no screaming kids!

Magda (the lady of the house) immediately came up to us with her lovely smile and showed us our beautifully decorated room and smart bathroom. We've been to many a Greek hotel but nothing as modern, clean or stylish as this one.

The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much of a problem. On the first morning of your holiday Lillia introduces herself and asks your name which by some miracle she remembers. She then takes you through what's on offer so that you're not left wondering what's where. You therefore feel immediately at home. The menu is good (especially the salads which we had at lunchtime). The village is only down the road (no need for a torch) which we used for evening meals and the beach a bit further not that we bothered to go there as the hotel and gardens were too lovely to leave.

Achilles (Magda's lovely husband) has collected a fine array of fish, terrapins, a pair of ducks and their ducklings, peacocks (2 peahens were laying while we were there) and beautiful white doves.

The staff work so hard and we loved them all. We made some great friends including one couple who had been there 8 times before. A huge percentage of people there had been before and we will be back too.

This was the most lovely place we ever stayed in. I was a bit reluctant to post this review as it may mean that more people will go which may cause a problem when we next go to book! However, Magda and Achilles deserve a big thank you for giving us such a lovely holiday so it would be a bit mean if we didn't!

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are apparently rather dark as they have silvered patio doors to stop people looking in.

We stayed at the Achtis for a week in June & all of us agreed that the hotel & its staff were lovely. The grounds of the hotel are very well kept & the gardens made a nice change from sitting around the pool. Our room was on the third floor of block two, the balconies here were in the sun in the afternoon & early evening so were very nice to sit out on with a pre dinner drink.

The breakfast was lovely, Lilia walked us through the selection on our first morning, there was something to suit all tastes. If you fancy an afternoon cocktail then Helena is the one to see, she will make something to suit your tastes, we was never disappointed! We also attended the Greek BBQ, we were a little disappointed that the food is all cooked 'out back' somewhere & then bought in to the restaurant area & laid out in the same manner as the breakfast, however, the food was all lovely.

My one recommendation would be to make sure you take insect repellant & if you plan on spending the evenings on the balcony then I would highly recommend purchasing a citronella candle from the local shop (walk out the back entrance to the hotel & down the slope in to the village, when you come to the road turn right & it's just along there on the left hand side). We had one for the second half of our week & it definitely made a difference.

It is a great hotel that makes relax. We had a ground floor room. The room was quite big and had all necessary for a very comfort stay. The pool was excellent and our kid really enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks and also play in the playground. Although it is like an oasis there are not many mosquitos. The room was clean and all areas of hotel were well kept. The owners make you feel like home. The staff is always there to help you. It is a great hotel in an excellent choice for families. The only thing I found that needs more work is that the cleaning ladies should clean the rooms earlier.

Room Tip: All rooms have access to the pool, bar and restaurant. The sun beds are kept from travelers very early in the morning.

Back this year to the best small independent hotel in Greece (in our opinion). The service is second to none, the rooms spotless, the pool area amazing, the owners are lovely, peacocks strutted around the grounds, wifi, poolside service, good coffee and excellent breakfasts. Give this hotel a go, you won't regret it!
