This is the opinion of Ria, age 10:
I have never been to a place any better. We would never usually go to a place more than once, but, we just can't resist! Rosy's is an excellent place for all ages, a tree house for the little ones, the rest for us all.

The sea has a beautiful view from all rooms, there are deck chairs, and occasionally trips to a close, deserted island, where we have an amazing barbecue, yum yum!

It is a quiet, peaceful hotel, but if there was any noise, it would be the waves down on the beach.
The cleaners will come in the mornings, but you will have no clue, for you will ALWAYS be down at the beach!

Rosy's little village is our second home. WE ALL LOVE YOU ROSY!!

Location was lovely, the private beach and free use of canoes and bikes a great bonus. Our room was lovely with a good view of the sea. Unfortunately there were loads of mosquitos at Rosy's - seemingly many more than in town - so go prepared. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant - this was one of the reasons for choosing Rosy's and as a vegetarian I was hoping for some great food as reported in other reviews. But there was a lack of choice in the evening, nothing I hadn't had elsewhere in Greece and breakfast in particular was terrible - not as described on the website. We were given some bread with jam and butter and some not very appetising looking fruit! That was it. This was probably because it was low season and so more difficult to make a choice available but I still think more effort should have been made after all there are shops near by! In spite of this we had a lovely stay - and ate out after the first night / morning - the upside of it being low season was it was very quiet and peaceful - and we had the beach at Rosy's almost to ourselves.

Me and my partner usually go on city breaks, and fancied something relaxing for a bit of a change. This was our ideal place. As previous reviewers mentioned, if you like karaoke and clubs, this is not for you. Rosy's is charming and the staff are so welcoming. The rooms were basic, but cute, clean and very cool. For those who like to sunbathe, there are plenty of loungers on different terraces right down to the sea. I like a wee bit of sun, but mostly stick to the shade, and there was plenty of shady areas all through the day too. The view from our room, and from all the terraces is spectacular. There is no pool, but you are right on the sea, and there are steps from the terraces right into the sea - so even better than a pool!

We ate out a couple of times, but the food was so good at Rosy's there was little point in going anywhere else. I tried a lot of fresh fish, which wasn't very cheap, but it was delicious. Their "potatoes baked in the oven" is now officially one of my favourite foods. I tried to be adventurous and try different things from the menu - it wasn't all to my taste, but it was all good value and good quality.

We went on a boat trip to Hydra which was fantastic. About 15 people from Rosy's and nearby went on Jamaica II sea taxi - there seems to be trips organised on a fairly regular basis which is good. This was really the only way we could see Hydra without staying overnight, so we were glad we did it. There was a nice stop off in Poros for Ice cream, and a wee swimming break too. Beware though, you do get taken to one of those "tourist trap" places for lunch. We would have loved to spend a bit more time and lunch in Hydra, but were taken round the corner (still on the island, but well away from the town), and the food was not great and was pretty expensive. I suppose that is to be expected on these type of trips, and to be fair a lot of people in the group really loved it...it was just our idea of hell. All in all the trip was well worth it, and I would definitely recommend it - just prepare yourself for a couple of wasted hours and an expensive, inferior lunch.

I never thought I would be the kind of person to return to the same holiday destination again and again, but I fell in love with Rosy's and I have a feeling I will be back a few more times. I couldn't fault this place. It was great value for money. As said the rooms are basic, but for the price they exceeded my expectations. The toilet/shower is very small, but again it does the job - no complaints here.

Rosy even has beach towels for you to borrow, and will go out of her way to help if you need anything else. The atmosphere at Rosy's is lovely, the scenery beautiful, and an overall relaxing experience. Not to be missed.

If you want clubs, pubs and karaoke this is not for you.On the other hand if you want stunning views, good food and to feel like part of the family by the welcome you receive from Rosy and her staff ,this is the place for you.We arrived at Agisti by hydrofoil and was met by Rosy and her delightful husband Nendos and we were instantly felt relaxed by their friendly welcome. The room we were allocated was very clean and had controllable air conditioning with a balcony overlooking the sea.You can spend your days just relaxing on the sunbeds or if you feel more energetic you have use of canoes or mountain bikes to explore the enchanting and unspoilt island. The food at Rosys is wonderful and is cooked to perfection by Eric and offers something for everyone. The fish on the grill is sublime thanks to Nico who seems to never go home but always greets you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble.Your evening meal is served under starlit skies by the friendly and relaxed Christian and Artimis which filters through to all the guests making the atmosphere warm and unrushed.During our stay we tried a couple of different restaurants-my advice don't bother!!If you want to visit different islands or just want a relaxing boat trip Rosy will organise everything. Many of the guests have visited Rosys several times, and judging by my experience I can see why,as Rosy and her magnificent team coup[ed with a truly stunning location will make your stay wonderful and unforgettable.Thankyou Rosy ,we look forward to seeing you again soon. From us all Nigel ,Amanda, Gillian Sally Pat and Evelyn.

We have just come back from a week's stay in Rosy's Little Village, and I wish I was back there now! This was our second visit, having stayed their last June for two nights whilst Island Hopping with friends. We enjoyed Rosy's so much we wanted to return and this time stayed for longer. It did not disappoint. Rosy's Little Village has a rustic charm and ambience that "gets under your skin". The rooms are simple but with superb views of the sea, framed by tall pine trees. It was a great place to unwind and relax after a week Island hopping with friends. This time we had family with us and they thoroughly enjoyed Rosy's place too. Rosy and Nondas are lovely people and eager to ensure you get the most out of your stay and are always able to help with travel arrangements and suggesting places to visit, but at the same time making the time spent at Rosy's relaxing and chilled. The staff are all very friendly and eager to please and the lunches and dinners were the best we had on the island! Thank you to Rosy and all her staff.

We stayed at Rosy's with our 2 grown up sons (19 & 21) they said it was the perfect holiday and we totally agree.

Everything about Rosy's is perfect . The price is very reasonable especially when you consider that all the facilities, that are usually charged as extras, are included in the room rate. The rooms are simple and very clean, and have air conditioning which you can control. We set the timer on ours so that when we came back from a day of relaxing on the sun beds (of which there are ample to accommodate all the guests) the room was beautifully cool. The rooms are cleaned and the beds made up every day, with towels and bedding changed frequently. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms and most of the outside areas.

Rosy's has two areas where you can swim in perfect clear water and then flop on the loungers either in the sun or under a shade. There are lots of places to sit and relax during the day. With wonderful views across the sea to the Island of Aegina. They have canoes, bikes, masks and snorkels which can be used by the guests free of charge to explore the island - that is if you can tear yourself away from this Paradise! Rosy also organises trips to some of the local islands should you wish to explore further.

The Restaurant is very reasonably priced and the quality of the food is excellent. So good is it that we ate all our meals here. Each day the Chef Eric prepares daily specials, I have been here 10 days and ate a different dish every day.

The owners Rosy & Nandas and their son , Christian are the most charming people and perfect hosts whom are totally committed to making your stay perfect. Having said that the place would not work if the staff did not have the same attitude so a special thank you also to Eric, Artemis, Nico & Latavra.

The guests also need a mention. I don't know how it happens ( and it does according to several of the guests we spoke to who have been back to Rosy's time & time again) but Rosy's seems to attract friendly, pleasant and interesting people, everyone is very sociable and you soon find yourself in conversation with the other guests.

All of the above combines to the create a wonderfully warm and friendly ambiance , a place where you feel wonderfully relaxed and at home with your hosts and fellow guests. Having managed to tear ourselves away we cannot wait until we come back again to visit next year.

Room Tip: The cooking is excellent and the restaurant offers great value and variety - no need to waste time...

We came across Rosy's Little Village whilst looking for a short Island escape from Athens. Having only limited vacation time we didn't want to cut into our holiday with long periods of travel, yet ideally wanted to experience a Greek Island not too overrun with tourists - Rosy's was the perfect solution.

TRAVEL
We traveled from central Athens, taking the metro to the port of Pireaus (final stop on the green line - approx 25 mins from Monastiraki station). Ferries in the direction of Agistri & neighboring island Aegina appeared to all go from Gate 8 - just a short walk from the metro exit. There is an official ticket office close to the point the boat departs & travel time to the island varies from approx 50-90 mins (depending on the type of Ferry). We traveled in May & didn't need to pre-book tickets. We used www.openseas.gr for an overview of ferry departure times.

THE ISLAND
Agistri is truly beautiful. We read somewhere that it is 86% covered in pine forest & the 3rd greenest island in Greece - surrounded by crystal clear water. One slightly overcast day we hiked a round trip around the island. The whole journey took approx 6 hours (including many photo stops, a swim at Dragonera beach & lunch in the small town of Limoneria).

THE LITTLE VILLAGE
Even more charming in real life than in the photos! At the time we visited it seemed that more than half of the guests were returning visitors - the best possible recommendation. The accommodation is just a few minutes walk from the picturesque port of Skala - yet tucked away in a quiet hillside. Staff were all very friendly and attentive, rooms are simple but very clean & contain all that is required (including small fridge & air-co, beach towels on request). The real highlight is the multi-level cafe/restaurant with breathtaking views over the beautiful private beach (bikes & kayaks free to use). The best meals we ate on the island were all from Rosy's restaurant. A month after arriving home we are still talking about them.

We generally have a policy to never to visit the same place twice when traveling - but having visited Rosy's, I think we will have to make an exception.

Thank you to all the staff at Rosy's Little Village.

Room Tip: We stayed 4 nights in room 14 (double). It is one of the closest to the cafe, however we didn't...
