It was the endlessly enthusiastic reviews on Trip Advisor that enticed us to book here - even so, it exceeded expectations. So, so peaceful - weekends get a little busier, with island visitors coming to the restaurant, but even then, it's quite chilled. During the week, even with the Village at capacity, it feels half empty - in a good way! We had intended to explore the whole island, but were seduced by the sunbeds, right on the edge of the sea, and read, dozed, swam, snorkeled, canoed - and so didn't venture away from the gently lapping waves by this idyllically situated place. Lovely staff, with a personal touch. Beautiful views across to the nearby islands, and a general feeling of utter tranquilty. Just wonderful. We're joining the huge ranks of return visitors - it's just too good not to. :)

It was a 24hour last minute trip decided on the spur of the moment and couldn't have been a better choice. We booked a room a few hours before arriving to Agistri and Rosy still came and collected us from the port and was lots of fun throughout the whole stay and full of useful local knowledge. The hotel itself is clean, simple and very comfortable and has one of the best locations on the Island offering amazing sea views and a private beach with crystal clean waters and plenty of chairs to relax on. Staff and guests were very friendly and we all ended up sitting at Rosy's restaurant watching the football and chatting until late. And for those who worry about the current Greek economic situation, the country is open for business as usual so get packing!
We will definitely be going back!

It's hard to know what to add when so many reviews confirm the same feeling about Rosy's. Yes the spotless blue & white rooms reflect an unbelievably blue sky & sea. Yes, the whitewashed walls of the Village with its hot pink geraniums & trailing bougainvillea spin you right into a scene from Mama Mia. Yes, the food is lovingly prepared with fresh local ingredients, tempting the traveller to try delicious local specialities. Yes Rosy & family & staff are extraordinary hosts; never intrusive, yet always on hand to help with anything from sun cream to local advice or personalised boat trips. So I'll go with my instincts & try to help with a few ‘need to knows’. Rosy's is situated in a pretty, private little valley sloping down towards the sea. Access to the water is more 'Italian' style - via sea ladder, or dive right in, or via a pretty small pebble/shingle cove. Sunloungers are dotted around the rocks & you walk stone pathways to get to & around them. This may not suit you if you require a vast sandy beach or are an anxious parent. Certainly the hardy, happy rock-hopping, snorkelling little fellas I saw were having a heavenly time - but if yours aren't the self sufficient type you may prefer somewhere more specifically catering for children/with a pool. You also may not like Rosy's if you or your children are demanding of constant artificial amusement & junk food. Rosy's little village might plausibly be renamed 'Rosy's Little Retreat'. This little world is about simplicity, peace & relaxation. I’ve travelled extensively, & have never before stayed anywhere where all the fellow guests looked so relaxed & so spontaneously smiled at each other. I have a hectic job & busy domestic life; but I’ve already booked another 6 days at Rosy’s in September. That probably says it all.

We stayed three days at Rosy's Little Village, and we just loved this place. The friendly staff, the great food, and the very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere made us stay one night more than planned. Basic, but comfortable rooms, with a personal touch. A great option, close to Athens. We will certainly be back :)

We have been home less than a week and already we are counting the days until we can go again. It is absolutely the perfect holiday: awakein a tidy little cottage with a beautiful view of the perfect blue sea in thebay below and the sound of water lapping the little beach. Pad down the stonepaths between more white-painted rooms to the terrace at the heart of thecomplex for breakfast. The rest of the day might simply involve lounging by thewaves with a book and taking the occasional swim or going out in one of thecanoes. More adventurous days could involve walking into the charming nearby townof Skala or borrowing one of the many bikes for a ride up into the hills. Inthe summer, a bus serves two lovely beaches on the other side of the island andall year round ferries make the short crossing to the larger island of Aegina.

There are plenty of eating places in Skala, but we ate everynight and many lunchtimes at Rosy’s, simply because the food and company are sogood. It has a great regular menu with most of the usual Greek specialities, but every day there are a whole crop of new dishes: always plenty of freshfish; maybe some squid risotto in its own ink; pork in oregano sauce; goat inrosemary sauce; wonderful grilled meats and vegetables – all of it, in ourexperience, delicious. The guests are like-minded people, whether couples, singletonsor families; young or old; from all over Europe. Many, like us, have made good friendswhile staying here.

Finally, the staff, led by Rosy, her husband, Nondas, andson, Christian, are peerless. Always helpful beyond the call of duty; patient, warm and friendly, but relaxed enough to know when to leave you to your owndevices.

We will be back, hopefully for years to come.
