The water is perfect; the sea is interesting, you may take quiet swims and you may also go around and explore the sea bed using the kayaks for rent available at the main beach.
On the shore, a lovely restaurant is there to support you.

Don't forget to explore both sides - both beaches: one bright torquoise blue and the other deep torquoise blue. Occasionally there may be a couple of yachts on one of the two beaches, so just pop to the other side. (when i say 'other side' I mean 1 minute on foot).

You can get there by the bus (there is only one bus on the island - you can't miss it). The bus goes to and from Aponisos to other parts of Agistri (Megalohori, Skala, etc. etc) several times a day.

You can also get there by the little boat. Ask the people on the beach there, or the guys who manage the umbrellas and they will let you know what time it goes etc. We went by bus and got back (to Skala) by boat, and it was a fantastic opportunity to see many of the beaches from the other side.

It's true - as other reviews say - that there are many umbrellas on the beach; I myself prefer beaches without much infrastructure too. However, the thatched umbrellas are made of natural material and are not very disturbing. Besides, they may be useful when it gets to 30+ degrees :)

Overall, great beach; warm water - perfect to swim all day long!

(I uploaded these photos just to give you a rough idea, but in reality it looks much more beautiful).

This is the most beautiful spot. The sea is fantastic and it is well worth paying out for sun beds and spending the whole day there. You can also have a fine lunch and a glass of cold Mythos at the little taverna ........life doesn't get any better than this!

Caught the first bus of the day from Skala - gets very, very busy and you corss over the pontoon onto the island. It costs 5 euros for a sun bed all day and use of the trampolines and floating sunbeds in the bay. They serve drinks inc very good frappe's to your sun lounger and there are vending machines serving snacks and sandwiches along with a proper restaurant should you wish to use it. We loved it, best beach on the island, crystal clear water and white sandy bottom accessed via a ramp over the rocks - heaven :-)
