“Hidden paradise at Agkistri island”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

This small private island is like a hidden gem at the end of Agkistri island. Accessed by car, bus, bike or boat, the beautiful lagoon is something extraordinary. If you avoid it during weekends, the water is always clean, colourful, pure magic.
Sunbeds and umbrellas are offered. Prefer the ones with shadow from the trees, it is far better. The sunbeds are not on the sand, just on the ground with some dust. There are two sides with sunbeds, one in front of the lagoon and one on the other side. Choose where you want to sit.
Frappe and/ or decaf provided. Also a vendor machine for water, refreshments and snacks. Water sports also offered at low prices. There is a nearby tavern where you can eat fresh fish.
Do not miss it!

“If you get the right chairs it's great”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

It's worth a visit, but do not expect sandy beaches. Its more like read dust where the sun beds in the lagoona is. The trick is to be there before the first bus, or run of the first bus and get the best beds. They are not in the lagoona but on the other side. The 6 beds in front there are great, the view is great and the sea is fantastically clear.

“Island on an island”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Aponisos beach is unique. It is a small, privately owned island adjacent to Agistri, linked by a small jetty which creates a giant pool, with turqouise waters and gorgeous scenery. On the small island, you can find sunbeds and umbrellas next to a bird sanctuary, and there is a wonderful fish taverna on the beach, with fresh fish and seafood, and very friendly staff. The place is one you will definitely dream about during your winter blues, so make sure you take pictures home!
