My wife and I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered- cabrales cheese with walnuts and apples, black pudding, and suckling pig. All was wonderful, and we were served by the very kind owner, who is truly passionate about his restaurant. Well done, chef!

The hotel recommended this place. The service is one of the best I have ever had, staff is super charming and basically they enjoy seeing you enjoying their food and the place. The food has best in class raw materials and the cooking was excellent. It is great seeing honest people running a restaurant. Price is good too!!

What a delicious meal! We were a group of four and shared some dishes together. My favourite one was the smoked sardines with sweet onion relish and thinly cut oranges. Total taste sensation!
Not only was the food good but the waiters were all so friendly and really took their time explaining the different dishes to us. It's a must for Cangas de Onis!

We were staying quite close to this restaurant, and had seen good reviews on TA so decided to try it out.
In a rather English way we were first there in the evening at 8:30 (our excuse is that we were tired and hungry after walking all day!).
Anyway all the staff were polite and helpful, and the interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and set out.
One of our group was happy with a main plate so had a nice steak and chips which he was very happy with.
The rest of us shared some tapas - the smoked sardines and orange carpaccio, cecina and duck pâté, broken eggs and Jamon and a creamed mushroom dish. It was all delicious.
We think we chose pretty well, as during the evening we saw others having some of the same plates.
Finally, out of sheer greed on our part we shared the cheesecake and the Charlota. (They were very good, but not as good as the ones we'd had the previous night in another place!)
For 20€ each we ate and drank well, tried and enjoyed some new things, enjoyed the staffs attention and the restaurant, and to top it off only had to stumble a few steps over the bridge to our hotel.
We are considering returning tomorrow night!

The service in this restaurant is absolutely excellent, and the restaurant itself very nice. The food was good but we were not sure about the Solomillo. We should have sent it back to cook more, 'medium' meant simply seared. The texture also seemed odd to us. The local cider is aerated rather than poured from a great height and only 3 euros a bottle. The meal was on the expensive side but overall a good choice. If the Solomillo had been as expected we would have given this a 5.
