We have been coming here off and on for about 8 years . Sad to see how it has deteriorated . When we arrived today we wondered why we were the only ones there ; now we know why . The mussels were almost certainly pre cooked and had not been prepared properly ... every one had its :" beard " still on ... a shock as we have had mussels here so many times in the past ... and we know the ropes in Galicia / Asturias / Cantabria ... the quality ; the prices ; the variation in preparation etc ... We ordered some sardines ( 6 .. with some very ordinary potatoes ) and were charged 12 euros ... exactly double what it costs tonight in restaurants just doors away ! I spoke to the staff and the woman I took to be the supervisor there ... seemed like she couldn't care less ... and was quietly argumentative and dismissive .... as if we didn't know what we were talking about ... its the last time we ever visit Don Mejillon and we'd advise anybody considering going there to give it a wide berth ... lots of others to choose from ... seems these people who have we think another restaurant and a hotel in the area have decided to respond to the crisis by cheating their customers and downgrading the care and quality of everything they do ... pity ... AVOID !
