Exquisite food and ambience. Blown away by the taste and textures - and the amazingly humble chef seemed genuinely delighted that we enjoyed the whole experience so much.
Go if you can - I can’t imagine you’ll be disappointed.
Great and sensible priced wine list and sommelier not intent with up selling - which is always a lovely bonus!

Perfection in terms of the view from the restaurant, the quality of the team, the wine list and, best of all, the food, put together from locally sourced produce. We loved it and would recommend it to all lovers of good food.

This Michelin-awarded jewel represents an outright explosion of senses! You can't say you have experienced O Grove until you have been tried Culler de Pau. The restaurant is set on a hill overlooking the bay. Architecture is bright and modern. Service is spotless. Overall a magical experience.

The 15 or so bad reviews the place has should be approached the same way as if someone told you that Earth is flat... madness.

A colleague recommended this place, and we were not disappointed. The tasting menu offered a seemingly never ending array of small beautifully presented and very tasteful dishes. We loved how the kitchen each time managed to bring out the crispness and freshness of the ingredients. Service was in the beginning a bit stroppy, but got friendly as we progressed in our dinner. Interesting was that we were given a timeframe for our lunch (2hrs15mins for the tasting menu) which was kept, even though we didn't ask for it. The setting is somewhat formal, but the views are great. A pleasant surprise was the final bill, where "extras" such as the bottled water and glasses of wine were charged at very decent prices. We had the pleasure to meet the chef after dinner, who explained us the philosophy of his cooking and especially also the sourcing of the ingredients, from local small producers that apply the rules of biodynamic farming. We'd love to come back!

In the main road of a fishing village called O Grove, surrounded for traditional houses emerged a beautiful White Cube House.
EL CULLER DE PAU

Once you walk through the door you find a beautiful tasting room full of all the brain storms that take place during their creative process...

When we sit down on the minimalistic first floor you understand why this restaurant is situated here, you have a fantastic view through a huge window of La Ria de Arousa, a very big saline estuary with an incredible diversity of marine life ...

On the other side of the room you can see Javier and all his team perfectly coordinated working with passion in every dish that walks to the table.

We decided to go for the tasting menu;

Every dish created with locally source ingredients, from the estuary and surrounding areas, are plated with and cook to perfection, enhancing the main ingredient, in our case, mackerel, hake, and Galician Veal, finishing with two fantastic deserts, matched with a local chilled red wine made with local grapes, great suggestion surprise as well...

I would like to thank the Maitre and his team, specially the Young and passionate Somelier the wine menu is versatil, dominated for unknown Galician Wines...

Fantastic experience, we will go back, Javier ( crazy pioneer, head chef of this adventure) represents a Galician fighter showing the would the most hidden gastronomic ingredients and Galician flavors and take them to the next level always proud and passionate of his roots GALICIA...

It was my pleasure to meet you all...

Thank you very much for the experience.

A happy customer.
