We stayed at Domaine de Juilette for 11 days with our two young children (2.5y and 6 months) and have enjoyed pretty much everything the place had to offer. It was a very calm, comfortable, easy-going, relaxing and stressless vacation. Brian and Denise are wonderful and warm people who will go out of their way to help out. If you're up for a bit of socializing, the village Eymet, is a 2 minute drive and we loved having morning coffee at the main square (bastide). Also, there is a lot to do in the region, day or night markets are interesting, Domaine de Juliette is well placed to let you explore the surroundings at your pace. Or if you prefer to simply waste time near the amazing swimming pool (with salt water - great!), or enjoy the remarkably nicely decorated gites (low key, with classy charm, very bo-bo as Parisians would say it :), you won't regret it either.

This place is absolutely wonderful and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Brian and Denise are the perfect hosts and have created an absolutely idyllic retreat. The gite was spotlessly clean, spacious and extremely well equipped, the grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed many peaceful hours reading by the pool before jumping in for a cooling dip. Brian and Denise are very knowledgeable about the local area and offered useful recommendations for places to vist, even arranging a vineyard visit on our behalf. We had a fabulous time at Domaine de Juliette and our only hesitation in recommending it to people is that it's then more likely to be booked when we want to stay there ourselves!

Domaine de Juliet is in a beautiful setting and an ideal base for enjoying what the Dordogne has to offer. The accomodation is first class and the hosts Brian and Denise are welcoming and do everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable without being obtrusive. It is also the perfect place to relax and do nothing.
We had a thorougly relaxing stay and will book again next year. we left feeling we had made new friends and discivered a little piece of heaven.

We returned to the Domaine de Juliette this July, having visited for the first time for a week in 2008. I couldn't rate it highly enough, Denise and Brian are welcoming hosts, the setting is gorgeous, and the Gite is spacious and well equipped.
We wondered the first year if there would be enough for our kids (boy now 10 and girl 8) to do- far from it, we found we could never drag them away from the place to see the delights of the Dordogne region, the lure of the pool, table tennis, darts and playing with their kids and Todd their adorable collie was too much.. As a result it was a relaxing break for all of us, and though there are some great Restaurants in Eymet we made it in only once as a barbeque accompanied with local wine on our private terrace with the lovely view was all we wanted!

Thanks to Brian and Denise for their lovely hospitality. The Gite was well equipped and clean. The dogs enjoyed the company of Todd the resident Border Collie. We loved the homely atmosphere of the gite and the salt water pool was fantastic to cool off in. This is a beautiful area with lots of small bastide villages to visit. At the time we stayed the fields were full of sunflowers so very very sunny and beautiful. The roads are quiet so it is a pleasure to go for a walk and there is no litter! Peaceful and friendly a really good place to unwind and enjoy life. Thanks again and we will return when we continue are house hunting.

Second stay for us having visited for the first time in October last year and we were welcomed back like old friends by Brian, Denise and their lovely kids and of course Todd.

This really is a beautiful, tranquil setting in the heart of the countryside but with all the amenities of a small village (Eymet) with shops, good restaurants, local cafés and a bustling weekly market only 5 minutes away by car or around 40 minutes on foot (3kms).

It really is a perfect place to relax and unwind.

We have stayed in many gites over the years but none with such a warm and friendly welcome. Even our two dogs agree as they couldn't wait to get out every morning to play with their new best friend Todd who was so keen to see us he jumped straight in the back of the car to come with us for a walk around the nearby lakes.

I am sure this is a place that will thrive on lots of repeat visits.

We stayed for a week at the end of Sept and it blew us away !
Brian, Denise and their family are the perfect hosts - nothing is too much trouble! The gite is in an idyllic, peaceful setting with amazing views and tranquility! Figs were in abundance and to wake up each day to peace, quiet and fabulous rolling countryside was just pure bliss ! Everyone was so friendly, & helpful and we ventured the 4km by foot into the village of Eymet on a few occasions each time meeting only the wildlife along the way, a farm tractor and maybe a few locals who bade us bonjour or bonne nuit along the way !!! We had the most amazing, relaxing, comfortable time ever. The place is just simply idyllic, friendly and the epitomy of peace, quiet and tranquility! There is however a load of things to do if you wish to venture out and about and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Dordogne. We went purely to chill out and thats exactly what we did! Todd is the most friendliest, playful dog ever....and visited us every day at some point in time when he wanted to play ball! As hosts, Brian and Denise are just wonderful.....they want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome and have found their niche! The evenings at the end of Sept were sometimes a little chilly and on our first night we came home to find our log burner lit and blazing away and the gite so homely and cosy ! Not knowing how to light one Brian was only too happy to help and show us. There are so many places to vist and in a week we did far more than we envisaged and even spent a few nights at the gite enjoying the peace and quiet. There is however a fantastic Pizza place in Eymet and a few bars and restaurants so nothing is too far away if you need it. Chater vineyard is a MUST ! The various village markets are colourful and buzzing with atmosphere....and there are long, quiet and scenic walks on the doorstep. Domaine de Juliette has everything ! Truly breathtaking and truly peaceful! We are in no doubt that we will be retuning year after year .......
