This gives an insight into the lives of the upper classes in 19th to early 20th century Corfu.
The Gentry had this town house as well as a country estate.
It showed the gulf between the haves and have nots and one has to have a great deal of sympathy for the Servants who had a hard time
The young man who gave us a talk was very interesting and informative
It was set out well especially the moving lifelike dummies.
Well worth a visit

This was a great find - especially during a rainy storm! The museum offers the experience the lives of members of the higher classes during the 19th century. It is genuinely a fun and interesting experience. Our host John welcome us into the house and described with great humour and knowledge how the family would have lived. Those poor servants though - what a dreadful life they led! If you are in Corfu Town, I highly recommend you look this one up.

This was a must-do during my visit to Corfu Town. I managed to find it in the dark the previous night, but could I find it in daylight the next day? I had to ask directions and eventually realised I had walked past twice!

The House gives a great insight into how life was for a Nobleman’s family and their servants in 19th Century Corfu. Fani was our guide and did a brilliant job bringing the tour to life with facts, explanations and humour. The layout has been well thought out, with the visitor received in the drawing room, with a shot of rose liqueur, before being shown around the realistically furnished rooms. The robotic mannequins add another dimension - with hindsight I found them a little unnerving but at the time they added to the experience.

Entry is 6 euros and I really enjoyed my visit.

Visited last week when we were given a comprehensive guided tour by a guide who spoke good English. House is not large but a well thought out tour.
