Probably the most famous street of Corfu, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, plenty of people and the famous coves... Must to walk through especially during Summer nights... Horse-car tours are also a unique experience in Corfu

Can spend a quite evening watching people go buy chatting with friends and family. Many people do not know the meaning of Liston (added to the list), which if you were of high society in days gone by you would be on the list and in a specific order allowed to walk by and be seen by the aristocracy.

The Liston itself was a beautiful, historical building. Loved Corfu Old Town but felt ripped off at the numerous bars and restaurants in The Liston. Clearly catering for the cruise ship passengers who were constantly walking past in huge groups. Slightly disappointed as I had read the history of the place and I felt it had been ruined.

Not that Kerkyra,Corfu Town, has not other nice places. But this part of the Old Town made me recall my beloved Italy. Very nice...

Corfu old town is a maze of narrow alleys lined with tourist shops and can seem quite claustrophobic at times. Liston, however, is different. The wide promenade is lined with beautiful neoclassical buildings with a wide shady portico. This is the location for up-market cafes and restaurants which look out onto the grassy park of Spianada. Great for people watching.
