“Fabulous location, very comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2009

We loved the Bella Venezia. The location was spot on and the hotel was very beautiful with a lovely garden for breakfast. Although the top floor rooms have small windows, unlike the plusher rooms downstairs, the bed was extremely comfortable - one of the best I've been in! The overall look and feel of the bedrooms is very smart, and the free internet access is a bonus. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Would definitely return to this hotel if in Corfu Town in future.

The building itself isa 19th century architectural masterpiece.Location is definitely the best in the whole city.Rooms are clean, though small and people are friendly and smiling.Professional management by Theodore, well above the usual standards.Romantic atmosphere, is obvious everywhere and especially in the beautiful breakfast garden. If in Corfu town, this is the place!

We stayed there for 3 nights. Rooms were clean and newly renovated and in a good location, easy to walk through the old town and close to the bus station and airport.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definately stay there again

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2008

We stayed at the Bella Venezia Hotel in a honeymoon double (room 203) for 1 night on the 23rd June 2008 and arranged a late check out from the room at 6.30pm the following day. The cost for this was 127 euros for the night and 50 euros for day use.

We arrived at the hotel at about 11am and our room was ready. It was on the first floor at the back of the hotel, overlooking the hotel’s garden, with its own balcony. There is a lift. The room was very nicely decorated and had a double bed, mini-fridge, flat screen TV and aircon. The room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. The only downside was that they were a little on the small side. It was impossible to walk round the bottom of the bed if someone was using the dressing table. My boyfriend, who is 6’2”, struggled with the length of the double bed, as the honeymoon double had an iron frame at the bottom. We decided that a standard double or a twin (without the iron framework) would work better for someone of his height. The bedding was, however, very comfortable. In the bathroom there were the toiletries you would expect in a hotel of this standard. The shower was small but perfectly adequate.

There are roads near the hotel, although no bars within the immediate vicinity. As a result, there was some road noise, but the windows sealed well and there was very little noise from the adjoining rooms.

The air-conditioning was integrated and did a good job of cooling the room quietly. It automatically went off if you opened the door to the balcony, which I consider a good thing. What was not so good, however, was that it did not come on easily when the door was shut again and frequently had to be reset by reception.

Breakfast was taken in the garden. This offered a good choice of pastries, bread, cereal, meats and cheese etc. I thought they could have offered fruit juice instead of something that tasted like squash, but overall it was all very good.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. The hotel is well located for exploring Corfu town and is close to the bars and restaurants, without them destroying the peace.

Be aware that parking outside the hotel is extremely difficult, although not so bad with a moped/motorbike.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and believe it is good value for money when compared to those nearby. I would happily stay there again.

  • Liked — Staff, cleanliness and location
  • Disliked — Not easy to fault, but the length of the bed was a problem

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Bella Venezia for 3 nights as part of our month long Greek island hopping trip. I chose the hotel based on its location and the positive Trip Advisor reviews.
We flew into Corfu from Athens on an early morning flight (after a long wait at Athens airport. We were very tired and thankfully the hotel kindly arranged our room to be available at 7:30 am. The room was very small but comfortable and very clean. The beds were especially comfortable. The breakfast buffets were nice with a good selection of fruit, cereals, yoghurt etc.. The hotel location is also good - right behind the Liston area and very close to some of the best restaurants in Corfu town. The bar area however was really dull and in fact closed at 11pm on the nail.
I would recommend the hotel to older travellers and not to anyone under 50.

Very nice hotel and conveniently situated. Spotlessly clean bedrooms and friendly staff. However, big downside was the ridiculously small shower area and noise from the street if window open.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2007

My 14 year old daughter and I recently spent two nights in Corfu Town and had a great experience at this hotel. Since we were without a car, it was great to be within walking distance of restaurants, museums and shopping. The staff was very helpful with all of our questions. As for the room it was very clean with a very comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. We were on the first floor and it was very noisy when we arrived due to the windows being open. I was concerned about that, but when the windows were closed it was quiet and we slept well. The breakfast is a typical european breakfast with bread, cheese, meat, pastries, coffee and juice. Eating in the garden was lovely. We would stay here again.
