We stayed 1st March for 4 nights, and whilst we have no major complaints i have to agree with previous reviews on here in that, this is certainly no five star hotel. It has old charm and the staff and service is exemplory, but the rooms are worn and old and could do with updating. Breakfast is mediocre, whilst there is a great selection on offer (4 or 6 minute hard boiled eggs for example) all of the bacon, scrambled eggs etc etc are little more than warm or in the case of the pancakes; cold. The bathroom - shower trickled out and the taps are dirty and worn out. The pool is lovely but then the steam room, jacuzzi and sauna weren't working.
Great location and overall satisfactory but we probably wouldn't return to this hotel when we visit later in the year.
