After visiting Santorini Mykonos falls short in almost every imaginable way except that it is the playground for the rich and famous.
Basically the town is composed of tiny streets that are fun to discover. Every corner holds a new surprise. Matoyanni holds boutiques and shops that are obviously overpriced. Greece is not the place to go shopping except for local art. You go to greece to have fun and enjoy the towns and that is the reason why this street is worth the stroll.

Matoyianni Street is the location of very trendy strip of boutique shops. What adds to its charm is not necessarily the shops but the path ways and buildings it is surrounded by. You feel as though you're in a typical Grecian island movie

It is an interesting old street with some kind of shops pretended to be a boutiques. Very overpriced shops with mostly old seasonal clothes, mixture of different brands. It doesn't worth to bye anything but the atmosphere is good.

We were here in April and saw the locals industriously preparing their stores for the coming season. The pride that goes into the presentation could teach many UK high streets a thing or two!
We were back in June and will be there again in September, sitting in a bar watching the world go by. If you sit there for long enough you will see everyone on the Island.....you think I’m kidding?
The shopping is to die for and of course it’s expensive.....what would you expect when the surroundings are so upmarket?
The cruise ship party’s will drift by without spending of course but they just add to the amusement.
