The museum has lots of exhibits and is located on this busy road with lots of shops and right near Lena's house. You can easily miss it assuming is just any other shop.

What a wonderful exhibition of Island Maritime history, speaking with the curator it appeared the collection was mainly salvaged and put together by himself. What an effort and an understanding of presentation and history.

at 4 Euros and not much to see from the doorway, it looks like it's going to be a rip off but it certainly isn't! It's like a tardis, there is so much inside!

This is a small little place in the midst of all shopping. You will not notice the place even if you stand in front of it. But one thing for sure, it is a painstaking effort to put together such a wonderful history of Aegean shipping. The museum is neatly organised, arranged in the order of events. Miniature model-ships look very neat. A lot has been spent to acquire the artefacts. Priceless for somebody who is interested in maritime history, though restricted to Greek history. There is an actual lighthouse in the backyard, which makes it even interesting. The entry fee is EUR4 which I thought was on the higher side, but of course, you cannot fix a price for the efforts to restore history..
