This was our first trip to Mykonos, and staying at the Pelican helped to make this an outstanding and memorable trip. The hotel is great, but beware--there are two Pelican hotels on the island (one in town, the other at a nearby beach resort). We happened to catch the van that services both, and until we arrived at the hotel I didn't know if we'd be going to the correct location! This is a beautiful hotel, well worth the money. We stayed in September but didn't have any of the problems that the earlier reviewer from Georgia had. We too had prepaid, but there were no problems with the charges.

The hotel is beautiful--mind the climb up the hill if you are not in shape! We actually enjoyed the walk up each night after dinner--it helped to settle the meal. The hotel has a wonderful view as others have said, and the rooms are spotless, well-maintained, large, with very sizeable bathrooms. We too had a queen sized bed (not two twins put together). The front desk were very friendly and helpful, always giving us a nice smile in greeting. I was glad to be a bit above the fray in this hill-top location. The only disappointment was the lack of a pool, but as others have said you can go across the road to Elysium for sunbathing--they don't mind as long as you order drinks (which are pricey--but the bar staff is VERY friendly!). The sunset gatherings there are packed and we caught a drag show at their bar one night, and were lucky enough to find that Samantha Brown was taping a segment of her travel show there that same night!
There are car rental agencies just down the hill from the hotel, if you'd like to drive around the island and hit one of the famous beaches. We thought Super Paradise was a huge let-down, but Elia beach, just a bit further on, was wonderful.
I highly recommend Pelican hotel, it is a true gem in Mykonos!

Stayed at the Pelican in September with my boyfriend and a friend, nothing but great things to say about this hotel! The location was very convenient and while it does sit atop a fairly steep hill it is completely climbable by anyone in good health, besides without the hill you wouldn't have the great view! We stayed a bit off of peak season (mid-September) and got a great rate (105 Euros/night) for a triple room, not sure how that compares to the in-season rates but we thought it was an amazing deal. In addition to the great location, the hotel is very clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included in the room rate) was very good. Would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to friends!

This hotel was clean, friendly and in such a great location. The view from the street alone was so wonderful and patio.....wow. The view of Mykonos Town at night was beautiful. My friend felt like she could have stayed sitting in the chair the whole time. haha. But just a walk down the hill and you were in town, 5 minutes later you were in Littly Venice and the windmills. Sure the hill is beast but worth it all. Breakfast is included and service is great. Would stay here again!

This is a lovely hotel and the rooms are excellent. Like all the other reviews the walk up from the town is a steep climb but only takes a few minutes. the hotel is spotless and the breakfast good. The views from the upper rooms are fantastic, unfortunatley the wind make out terrace almost unusable during our stay which was a real shame.

The main downside to this hotel is the lack of pool and there is no beach area to speak of in the town. There are however regular buses to the beach areas and the bus stop is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

I probably wouldn't stay here again having now been to the island there are lots of equally good hotels with pools etc available.

Quaint and Perfect decor, Huge Bathroom, yummy breakfast, great service.
The only downside is trekking up and down That Hill but once you get down to Mykonos Town its all forgotten.
